Noel, forgot to ask you on Sunday: Was the GTO at Black Hawk the same as on Oak street? Both had their fender painted, which is unusual, so I figured it was the same. True? |

Don I am not qualified to speak for Continental, but I feel they'd welcome your attendence. Last time I took a buddy and he drove one of the new Masers, had a ride in a 550, drove my 308 etc. The only "rule" Scott (Rothermel, the GM) tends to stick to is the nominated brand(s) -- he won't welcome an Aston unless you're a really good customer. Suggest you give Scott or David Alexander a call on 630 655 3535- both good guys and easy to deal with. Philip |

I'm interested in going to watch the Continental thing. You think they'd permit spectators? I'd like to take my 308 at some point, but not until after it's next service. |

Good time had by all despite some rain early and a t'storm late. good to meet Noel and play at Blackhawk again. Funny, I find the tight twisty circult much harder than Gingerman and Road America. Noel's 360 Spider is a beauty. Star of the show, at least to my (jaded 308) eyes, was the 288. Classic lines and tt to boot. Journey back was awful. Lots of rain and lots of traffic. Good to know the wipers worked on my 26 year old car! Anyone going to do the Continental event @Blackhawk on 6/20? Philip

Noel, Philip, eagerly awaiting your report. Thinking of you guys ripping off the track while I'm sitting at my desk...sigh. |

Being a family man, his track time is significantly less these days. I'm not sure which specific group it is, but I know he gets together for outings from time to time. |

And I realized after that post that this is, in fact, the Chicago section... |

Noel, if you go to the track's website, they have a corner-by-corner photo gallery. Just a little to whet the appetite. Adam, a friend of mine rode his bike there also and liked it. I saw you're in Chicago, do you know Jeff Kolinski? |

Have any of you guys been out there since it was repaved last Nov? I took the bike out there in April and it was soo smooth (see profile pic)... However, the trees are still a little close to the track. |
