Reminds me of a soure episode in my life: Back in the late eighties in the golden area of speculation I put on a nice suit and went out to a Swiss Ferrari dealer to 'buy' a Testarossa. Of course with the intention of flipping the car. When it finally arrived a year later, the market had gone south and I had to figure out a way out of the contract. I lost quite some cash on that deal and learnt a lesson. Does that technically make me a TR owner?

You can test drive, but a salesperson will go along with you. And you better act like you're serious about buying the car. |

What kind of test drive policy's do Ferrari Dealers in Chicago have I heard from some you cant test drive Ferrari's This sounds hard to believe. Does Lake Forest Sports cars allow test drives to potential buyers. |

Bill, welcome to the board! Good place to start your journey. 355 is an excellent choice. I suggest you read the Forza Buyer's guides and test reports about the 355. There were a few. Ebay is a good place to get some ideas on pricing. And last but not least in Chicago we're in the fortunate position of having two top dealers around (Continental in Hinsdale and Ferrari in Lake Forest). Both can probably help you in finding and maintaining your dream car as well. Good luck! |
