And to think that the Swiss government banned racing. Must have been bootleg races he was racing in!

Hey man, thats it!!!!
Amazing pics Andreas!
1. pic: You have lost your front end on an high speed accident over a curb. Is this why you are looking very, very angry.
2. pic: A soap box with an original Merceds steering wheel - this shows the Swiss class!!!!
3. pic. All this invaluable cars in a row. What an awesome, rare, historical pic. And even one car sponsored by "CORALL" washing powder!!!!!!!!!
4.pic: The porfessional race-crew (repleting?)

Andresa, I didn`t know that you are a living-swiss-racing-legend...I`m impressed!

Wolfgang,

only have a few more. Yes, second half of the sixties. Of course everybody is neat and dressed up, it is Switzerland...

Compare the regular soap box to ours (I didn't build it, I just drove it, hehe). We were lightyears ahead:

Here's a shot of that great Ferrari inspired soap box we used to race:

It's not me at the wheel btw, but a friend. He used to win everything with this. Note the metal skin over a metal frame. Had real brakes and weighed a 'ton'. Real inflatable tires and a real seat. Only the wrong badge (Peugeot). Oh well.

Andreas,
thank you so much you realy enlighted me. I`m happy to hear that is was just a usual belt change and not an accident.
You don`t need any wing just drive proud with your CH sticker - thats more than any wing and pays more attention & respect.
About the peg: Even ENZO thought about it...mhmmm I will check it on our Sunday Nrburgring drive. Just asked my wife to borrow me a few hundred pegs for more aerodynamic and speed;-)

As a friend of mine put it: It clearly is a Ferrari since a) the engine is out and b) it is being worked on.

So, no blood loss, not an accident, just your regular belt change.

Anthony Ferrari alreday commented on the peg on the windscreen and thought it must have helped the aerodynamics of the car. Enzo should have thought about that himself.

As you can tell, already at that tender age I had the urge to customize my Ferrari: I didn't add a wing, but the CH (Switzerland) plate.

PS: I came across this picture only recently, didn't even know it existed. I remember the car itself only vaguely. But I do remember the Ferrari like soap box we raced downhill only a few years later...Hey, it was in the genes.

@Andreas,

once again, I have had a look on you amazing pic in your profile.
Lets talk about it: What happened? Thats an horrible accident between a Ferrari and a baby buggy. Were there any harmed people? Who stole your engine after the accident? What is the story beyond the clothespin on your windscreen????
Have you been drunken...you are lying in the gras with a bib smile in your face.
Questions over questions....
