Hi All, For all those that prepaid for the DVD of the Oak Brook event at the show, the DVDs were shipped on Thursday via first class mail. DVD-R media was used for duplication, since traditional mass replication requires quantities of 1000 or more, and only 35 or so were preordered. We have tested the DVD on various models of players including Pioneer, Sony, XBox, Macintosh/PC/Linux computers, and others. If you have purchased your DVD player within the last few years, you should have no problems with the disc. Some olders players may have difficulty with the DVD-R media, but we are unable to test for every possible configuration/model. The only manufacturer that exhibited strange behavior was a KLH DVD player, but this is a cheap, no-name brand player. In short, if your disc doesn't play, please contact me and I'll get you a different disc burned onto a different brand of DVD-R media. Mike Epifanio and I will be making arrangements to make it available for purchase through the FCA Central States web site, but if you can't wait to order yours, you can call me at 847-534-9000. The cost is $30. If you don't like to talk on the phone (but I'd love to talk to you!), you can mail a check or money order to our office, made out to Screen Time Images. The address is listed at www.screentimeimages.com I will also be present at Monroe St. with a handful of copies and order forms for when I run out. Would love to hear all your comments so that we can improve on the concept for future events! |
