I would like to go to the Chicago Hooters show tommorow(Sunday) But,it's my weekend to have my son and we found a cool place to ride his new dirtbike. So,Probably won't. But,if we don't go dirtbike riding,will cruise by,but not enter...can't stay all day from 9-4. But,I AM DEFINITELY going to the Hooters show in Downers Grove on October 5th. DEFINITELY! (except if it's pouring rain) But,that one is pretty close to my house and can be there all day for that one. My son and I took the Ferrari out today for a nice little drive. We stopped by Fox Valley Motorcars,in West Chicago. They had a nice black Lambo Murcielago,and a Diablo. They still have that Yellow,alloy bodied 328. A nice 348 Spider. Red/tan. A couple 360 Coupes. A white Pantera. A few other nice toys. Also had one of those new,$315,000.00 Maybach's . Nice,but,could have a nice STABLE of older Ferrari's for that kind of dough! BIG ASS CAR,though!!! Anyway,There are 3 different car shows tomorrow. One at Lincoln Park Zoo, Hooters on Higgins, and one car show in LaGrange. hope that one of them is graced by one of your cars!! have a good one!!  And,we should DEFINITELY make a plan to GORGE the HOOTERS- Downers Grove show with as many exotic,Bella Italian rolling art as POSSIBLE !!!!! | ||

No,no,no! I am NOT going to "forget about" my 308! THAT is the car that I have LUSTED after for 26 years now,and,in MY opinion,about one of the best looking Ferrari's of all time. No,I wouldn't neglect her! Never! But,to add a 12 cylinder car would be nice. I am seriously looking into buying some property out in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ. area,and when I do,would need to have a Ferrari out there,too,for when I would visit. LOTS of great roads out there! | ||

My crystal ball tells me, that the TRs will be what the 308s are now. I bet if we do our drives (like the one to Geneva/Batavia) in a couple of years, you'll see a lot more TRs joining. As a matter of fact, I'm still surprised not to see many more of them at any club event. After all IMHO the TR looks are about as recognizable as the 308s thanks to Magnum PI and Miami Vice. So Frank, give her a kiss and start searching ebay. | ||

Yeah,Skip. I am on wife #2 . And,if for some reason or the other,ever ends up like the first one,(divorce) THATS IT! NO MORE! But,I ,at this time,sincerely doubt it. I got really lucky with this one. Sweet,calm,doesn't get upset or yell...A very laid-back,easy going person.But,I will know,FOR SURE when I add a second Ferrari. If she passes that one,Everything's gonna be all right.(Isn't there a song like that?) She "let me" buy my Ferrari in January of 2001,and my 'Vette in Febraury of 2001. 2 sportscars in one month! No bitching and moaning. Nothing! But,I am pretty good to her,too. And she knows how much I LOVE cars and bikes,(and her).Since I can't have a bike anymore,(long story) 2 sportscars was o.k. But...TR's are very reasonable right now... | ||

My wife is pretty good about this stuff. I have a picture taken of me with some Budweiser girls hanging on me,when I was a drinker. And,she was very cool about it. She's a confident gal,and can trust me.(She's pretty confident that beautiful young girls aren't gonna chase after a broken down,fat old man...Ferrari or Not!  (just kidding...I think?!) | ||

Tod,you scoundrel! Finding a picture of a pretty lady next to a BLACK 328! Yes,I say we go to ALL of these shows! What the Hell! Why not? Not many left. I am glad I picked up this paper with all the shows and stuff. It's really a good paper. LOTS of stuff in there about ALL KINDS of Motorsport. I used to ride mini-bikes,Dirt bikes,and Street bikes.(But,when I got hit by a bus on my '75 Kawasaki Z1-B 900(1013 cu.in.) That pretty much put a stop to my motorcycle riding.) So,got into cars all the more. Just got my "mini me" (Frankie Jr.) a Honda XR50. And,he's had an electric powered NASCAR replica that he's been driving since he was 3. I saw an F1 Ferrari Go Kart,powered by a 3 or 4 horsepower engine,in the speedgear catalog a couple years back. But,now that he's old enough (big enough) to drive one,they don't sell them anymore. But,I did find a place,advertises in the DuPont registry,thats out of Iowa,that sells all sorts of different "Mini cars" powered by small gas engines. So,Christmas is coming up,if he's a good boy,(he is) he might just get one. But,anyway,yes,I agree with you about attending all the Hooters shows. (I will DEFINITELY try!) | ||

I posted this on another thread to check out (I put it in the "Motorsports Unlimited" post) But,here it is,too. msutv.com This is the website for the local cable TV show, "Motorsports Unlimited",on cable access. Touted as,"Chicagolands longest running,most watched cable access show". It's a pretty decent,local type show. I've been watching it for 14 of it's 16 years. You usually see Bill Wildt,the emcee and producer,along with one or more of his,"pink feather clad Lovely Ladies of Motorsport". at local car shows. There is a local publication called, "Chicagoland Motorsports News"-touted as "Your #1 source for HotRod,Muscle car,Motorcycle and Racing events". that I picked up at DGY Motorsports in Downers Grove,(They're free-you can pick one up on your way out of the store). Anyway,they have alot of really neat information; Racing,Car shows,Cruises and swapmeets. A listing of local car clubs,etc...And,I picked up the August/September issue,(by the way,it was free,but if you can't find a free copy anywhere,you can pay to have it delivered to your home. 1 year/9 issues for $30.00. And it's out of Lemont,IL.) Be glad to pass on that info if anyone is interested. Anyway,they ALSO publish all of the Cruise nights,what towns,what days they have them.That will come in very handy next year. Too involved to list here.
