Frank, hang on to your FOC for at least one more year: Next year they'll publish their member's directory again. I missed last year's cut, but will make it to next year's. You can even send them a picture of your car and they'll put it in. Nice thing to have in your collection. |

You know. As there's really not an FOC chapter around here. I ALWAYS get my monthly newsletter,a month late!! Very frustrating!!Probably going to let that one lapse for now and stick with FCA exclusively. Also,Frustrating to see all those cool drives and events on the West coast all the time...and...they can drive all year 'round out there! |

Thanks,Andreas. You know,Skip,Dave and I were all talking, and said that we really need to get a phone thing going, too. Not just on the FChat. I think that this is a great venue. But,as Dave said. Sometimes he's away,or doesn't check the 'puter for a few days. And,I am the same way, sometimes, too. And,I know that you travel alot, too. So,Dave has our E-mails,and maybe we can "fine tune" our get togethers. I will gladly watch for shows and cruise nights. Get the PROPER info. And post. Because,in this motorsports magazine there is alot of great stuff going on,all the time, and all over. Add in our "own" drives and get togethers. FCA and FOC events. And,we should have enough to keep us out of trouble and in our Ferrari's...where we belong! |

PS: I always hate to read about a car, especially Ferrari event AFTER the fact. Has happened to me so many times, it hurts. For the life of me I don't understand, why publications like Forza, Pilota, Cavallino etc. report about an event after it has happened without prior notification that it will occur. So freakin' annoying if you're not in the comm loop.

Great job, Frank! I sincerely do appreciate all your efforts getting this info out to us. Makes me feel like living in LA (where they have events basically every night of the week, it is incredible). That's why I'm a member in FCA and FOC (and some other car clubs), cause I want to know, what's out there, what's going on. Just not enough communication. But thanks to FChat and guys like you we might get the word in time. |

Yes,Andreas, they will have these shows next year. I just found out about them at the time that I posted the info.,and ,regretfully, did not actually make a phone call to get the full "scoop". So,in the future,I will always call before I post. But,saw all these car shows printed in the Motorsports paper and just posted the info that was printed. I am going to continue to get this local,"Motorsports" paper. It posts ALL of the weekly cruise nites. And,many car shows. The guys that run these Hooters shows are an outfit that just does, promotes, car shows. never heard of them before. But,I made sure to find out as much as I could about what they do,today. So,we'll have an early start on shows and cruise nights next spring. |

Thanks for the heads-up. Do you know whether they have these shows next year as well or was this only for their 20 year anniversary? I'm still miffed at that bimbo whom I talked to on Friday who allegedly talked to her manager and knew nothing about nothing. Their web site didn't tell much either. Go figure. |

I wanted to let anyone know as soon as I got back. I "thought" that I was going over there "early" at 9:15A. When I got there, the lot was already full, and they put me,and some other cars over in the "off" lot.,in front of the place, but away from the "action" So,as I left to come back home(wife followed me in her car) saw lots of old cars, rods, muscle cars, headed that a way. So,I don't know. If you haven't left yet-? It's up to you if you still want to try. But,seeing that so many cars are coming, who knows if they'll try to park more cars somewhere else around there. There are a few other adjacent lots. But,the car show guys were just as surprised as I was that it filled up so early and so fast. And,I wanted to post this for you guys as soon as I found out. Oh well. There's one more Hooters show in schaumburg in 2 weeks. Hopefully, will have more parking,as it is their grand finale show for the season. |
