Well, didn't hear from any one. Seeing it was such a nice day out, my girlfriend and i drove the Ferrari to Indiana sunday to visit her brother. I averaged about 90-100 MPH and got a WHOPING 18 MPG!!! WOW!!! I can't believe how the milage goes up at higher speeds, i guess i'll have to drive fast more often....  ~ | ||

Andreas. I think that there was some,"wink-winking" going on there. They didn't hand out Trophy's until 3:00PM,at the Downers Grove show.(note time that they left) And,there is only 1 "best of show" trophy. And,Skip said that they "each" got a 1st,2nd and 3rd place trophy...in the same class? | ||

This sounds really weird: On one hand Frank looses to a Datsun and on the other Skip and Dave just carry them home. And good weather seemed to have prevailed on either days. So what's the deal? Do they have different number of trophies or are the ricers not always there? If it had rained I would have shown up. Thinking rain scares all the Zymol and McGuiars guys, including you fellow competitors. But it seems, that weather wasn't the factor. Any comments? PS: Still working on that 1/18 model of my car for the next car show (probably next spring). | ||

I WAS going to go,but kept checking local FChat and didn't see anyone else saying that they were going. And,since I already went to a Hooters show,it didn't really matter to me. So,I ended up not going,either. Miscommunication again,I guess! I was going to go to give some pix to Andreas. Skip,what kind of "Import" cars were there? Don't tell me that the little Datsun 1600 was there again! Bet there were alot of "supertuner ricerocket mobiles" there. Lots of those kind of cars out that away. Sounds like you guys just stopped by,and did not enter. Do you know how early it filled up? Was there more show parking over there than at Downers Grove? We have to start an E-mail line or something. (like a phone tree.) Because,I don't know about anyone else. But,I just use this venue to communicate with you guys,and check here to see who wants to do what or go where. And,I checked all the way up until yesterday morning to see if anyone was going out there,and didn't see anything. Well,weather permitting,I am going driving next weekend. (any weather is O.K. with me except rain or snow) And,Sunday,I am going down by the Buckingham Fountain,because I believe that they turn it off by November 1st. And up L.S.D. to take some "city" pix. Then,driving. If anyone else wants to join me,please post on this FChat"local" forum. | ||

Dave and I were there. Dave said Frank said he was going, but we never saw him. Dave and I both tied for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, so we each got three trophies. We also tied for Best of Show, so our total take was four trophies each. It was pretty difficult for both of us, lugging around four trophies each; especially the 3'tall Best of Show trophies! We left between 2-2:30. | ||

Hi All, I stopped by Hooters (although towards the end), didn't see any of you guys there, so I walked around for a bit and took off. Did anybody show up? Did you guys go driving? Well, no point in sitting at my office with an hour of sun left, just came in to check on things, so I'm back out with the top down baby! |
