THAT sounds really nice! I wouldn't mind adding a Mondial Cab.some day. It would be nice to be able to take my wife and 2 kids along in a FERRARI! Right now I have a 1981 308GTSi,that just turned 18,000 miles last month. Rossa/Tan. And,can only take along 1 passenger.

And,yes Mitchel. It is kind of far from Lake Forest, and North Chicago. About 1/2 hour to 45 minutes south on I-294,if there's little traffic, and it's moving along nicely. Also,it's a toll road, and you will pass 2 tollbooths. I believe are .40 or .50 cents (cars). Just take I-294 south.(follow to "Indiana") You'll pass O'hare Airport on your right. Then,it's only about another 10 minutes or so,(in good moving traffic) from there. Get off at Ogden Av. WEST. They are a block west,on the south side of the street. You can't miss 'em...lots of bright red and yellow will catch your eye immediately! :-) By the way,is this Mondial Cab. Grigio in color?

I live in Oakbrook Terrace, which is literally 5 minutes from Continental in Hinsdale. But,I don't believe that their Technical staff works on weekends. So,you might want to call them. Their # is: 630-655-3535 They are approx. 15miles west of Chicago,in Hinsdale,Il. On Ogden Av.,(RT 34) JUST west of I-294,on the south side of the street.

Continental in Hinsdale is a good choice too. Hinsdale is basically West of Chicago. About 45 minutes from the loop, which makes them even a bit closer than Lake Forest.

Did anyone catch the live telecast of the Live in Rio concert? It was absolutely incredible. Best band alive.

The car is in north Chicago, we are not taking it to Lake Forest, as they cannot get the car in for the PPI in time.

Hey Jack, where is Hinsdale? Is it far from Lake Forest??

I second that U.F.O. welcome. Have been a fan of them since the early,EARLY 70's.. Last time that I saw them was a REAL treat...at the VIC Theatre in Chicago, standing 5 ft. from the stage,a few years ago! And,RUSH was the second concert that I ever saw. I believe that it was 1975,and they were the OPENING band at a concert at the "Twin Ice Forum" in Oakbrook Terrace,Il....which is now a Drury lane Theatre. Anyway, never heard of RUSH yet. They opened up for Canned Heat (original, with "Bear" still singing) and the headliner was the original Steppenwolf. RUSH was introduced,"From Canada...RUSH!" then went right into "Working Man". They played that whole, first album. The white one with the big, pink day glo,"RUSH!"on the cover. After their set,we were blown away, and said to each other,"Man,these guys are gonna be BIG!" and, ofcourse, look what happened to them. They were one of THE biggest bands of the mid-late 70's and 80's. And,still are right up there in my opinion. Also,Mitchel, make sure that you come up and get the car over there (LFSC) on Saturday. Most all car dealers are closed in Illinois on Sundays.(unless you've made any other arrangements with them)

Mitchel, where's the car? If Lake Forest is too far, there's another dealership in Hinsdale called Continental.

Actually, I prefer to finish "Hello Chicago" with "would you please welcome from England, U.F.O!"

Hey Andreas! Yes, that would be extra cool if it works out that way! I am getting anxious and excited at the same time. I've only been to Chicago once, and that was when we drove to Zion to stay on Lake Michigan before the USGP! Thanks for the recommendation for Lake Forest!

Mitchel, Lake Forest Sports Car is a very good place and I'd say you can trust their PPI.

Check out our other threads, we might be going out for a drive this weekend, so would be cool to meet up with you.

I was trying to say "HELLO CHICAGO!" like Geddy Lee does on one of the RUSH albums. Anyway, I am trying to arrrange a PPI to be done on this particular 85 Mondial Cabriolet that is in Chicago for sale. The owner suggested that we take it to Lake Forest. Does anyone here know someone, or know anything about Lake Forest? I very well may be coming up there this weekend to retrieve the car. Anybody want to meet up during the weekend if I make it up there?
