Popular at the moment is "Dante Thomas Faturing Pras - Miss California". Sings about a hot girl who drives a maranello.

Also, the new video from KENT (swedish band, virtually unknown in the states) new video is pretty cool. The entire video is showing a really hot girl driving a 456gtm through the streets of Stockholm. I like videos like that. I know that Jamiroquai (spelling?) like to make videos with hot cars.

Since I started this thread, I figure that I should read the posts and see what shows up.

Kudos to Jerry H for finding a very obscure Ferrari tune:-)

That Linkin Park album is great. I saw them at Ozzfest last year. The only music that makes me think of Ferrari is the music of my 355's engine. Or any Ferrari engine for that matter.

The entire Linkin Park album because that's what I listened to for 5 hours to and from New York to pick up my 348.
I'm also surprised nobody has mentioned Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue.

Ross, I just read your posting about "Vacation", and I think you meant to say "...watched movies this GOOD." Right? Funny enough, Brinkley and that 308 are the reasons I saw the movie in the first place, even though now everyone knows what a classic it is...

Kickstart my Heart, by Motley Crue. The start where the guitar changes gears is cool.

Alice Coopers's Under my wheels is also good. Anything that mentions wheels is gonna get me thinking Ferrari.

"Travelling without Moving" by Jamiroquai (Jay Kay owns severall Ferraris and Lambos). "Let's go Crazy" and "Get Off" by Price and "Tear the Roof Off" by George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic!

Don't forget the theme song from Cannonball Run (Even though it starts out with the Lambo).

i agree with 'money' and '55'. but also remember that scene from 'family vacation' when christie brinkley pulls up next to chevy chase in a red 308gts with the top off. i don't remember the title of the song, but the refrain was 'i'm so excited'. anybody else remember this or am i the only one who watched movies this bad.

Speaking of videos featuring Ferraris: I strongly recommend Ferrari: Victory By Design, in sporadic reruns on the Speed Channel (boy, I sure like the name Speedvision better...), hosted by my personal hero, Alain de Cadenet. Crank up the volume, and also listen for Alain's little personal comments of glee with driving each car. Lucky #@$%@#$ !!!

Phil Collins "In the air tonite". I always remember seeing the Miami Vice episode where Crocket is cruising around in the black Daytona (even though it is a replica) at night. And they are showing it going through downtown Miami at different shots including a camera viewing the polished Borranis spinning with the reflection of the city lights. That is just cool watching the reflections of the city bouncing off that black paint job and hearing that music. And of course Sammy Hagar " I can't drive 55".

Don't forget the first track "Key to Her Ferrari" off Thomas Dolby's album "Aliens Ate My Buick".

"And then I saw her, she was a bright red '64 GTO with fins and gills like some kind of piranha fish... some obscene phallic symbol on wheels... little rivers of anticipation ran down my inseam as I kicked those five hundred Italian horses into life and left reality behind me."

and so on :-)

#1 - SIMPLY THE BEST BY TINA TURNER FOR RELAXATION DRIVING.
I HAVE THE OE PIONEER CASSETTE RADIO IN MY '82 308, AND IT DOESN'T SOUND VERY GOOD. SO I DON'T TURN IT ON MUCH. MY '95 CHEROKEE HAS A $6000 CD PLAYER/CUSTOM INSTALLED SPEAKERS AND AMPS. THAT SETUP SOUNDS EXCELLENT ON LONG TRIPS (OR SHORT ONES!). THE USUAL TUNES BEING PINK FLOYD OR METALLICA.

Running With The Devil. The sound at the start of the song is Eddie's Ferrari horn played backwards. Also, Eddie and Sam Hagar had the same Ferrari mechanic and that's how they thought of him to replace DL Roth..so that song makes me think Ferrari.

Just sitting here trying to avoid doing any work and was thinking about this.....

What songs make you all think of driving an F-Car?

My list is....
Red Barchetta - Rush
Summer Song - Joe Satriani
And of course the Magnum PI and Miami Vice themes.
