I loved it, and I understood almost every word.

You know, most of your better nudi movies come from Sweden :-)

I agree with you completly, It's just those adds that lie about the way the cars driven.

Believe me, I plan to buy a Ferrari to drive a Ferrari ; )

I would not mind if a Ferrari I was buying had been driven hard / on the track. That is what they are for, and I drive mine very hard on the street. And I cant believe someone would not buy a FERRARI because it was driven hard. In fact, I would stay away from those that were NOT driven hard...

ferrari has always taken radical steps for design with their cars..they have went where not a lot of other car companies have gone espiecally with the anniversary series..take the f40 for example..first time i saw it i thought it looked like a toy matchbox car..now I worship it.. I think the f60 will catch on fast and if someone doesnt like the looks..they should just sit in the drivers seat and take it for a spin and all memories of the bad looks will mysteriously vanish! :-)

Flemming told me he didn't wear a helmet because he wanted the car review to feel like a car review not a race review. Better feel/look to the test.

Right now he's doing a survey on the F-60 - on a scale of one to five if you think it's beautiful or an over designed junker. OBVIOUSLY I voted for beauty (grin)

Andrew, pause the video, it will still download while it's paused and after a while it should download enough to watch parts of it.

There's also Tiff Needell, who does car reviews and also doesn't wear a helmet when shooting the tests. I don't have an f-car drive but here there's a bmw/porsche review if u haven't seen it already.

He had to be on street tires to induce such throttle on oversteer. Also, no helmet didnt strike me as that big a deal: he was obviously inducing the 4 wheel drift deliberatly and in relativly slow corners (not like, say, turn 12 at Road Atlanta). Probably not horridly dangerous and he clearly knows what he is doing. Not the fastest way through the corners, but it looked like a real blast!

I would think that having the paddles move with the wheel would be a negative. I dont want to be shifting in the middle of a very sharp corner, it would unsettle the car and it could be easy to lose track of the shifters when making rapid corrections or letting the wheel go for self centering. I know when cornering at the limit in a 911 I often let go of the wheel and let it rotate/self-center alone. When grabbing it back I would want to know exactly where the shifter was regardless of exactly where on the wheel my hands fell.

Man that guy was having fun!

Terry

Flemming (the driver's name) is actually looking for the best Ferrari club - I hope you all don't mind but I did submit Ferrarichat. I'll e-mail him asking how/why he wasn't wearing a helmet - since I'm curious now too.

His website www.sportscartesting.com is super cool

I was surprised they allowed him on the track without a helmet. Otherwise, a nice bit of driving on the limit (a bit lucky too). What's the deal with the music?!

The guys is EVIDENTLY a fairly skilled driver......

They don't allow the paddles to move with the steering wheel in case you get confused which is which on a full lock to lock scary slide moment when the steering wheel is moving really quickly.

Awesome video Nika!

You guys are correct, the paddles are fixed. The paddles in the new M3 move with the steering wheel. Not sure why Ferrari did not allow the paddles to move with the wheels...but HEY I'm not complaining! :-)

That video is wonderful... thanks for sharing it. Why do I remember people complaining about the F1 paddles NOT moving with the steering wheel? Did I imagine this? You would think they would...

if i might make a few observations:

good lord, get a music budget!

i don't know who this guy is, but he's a bozo for driving this car like that on a track without a helmet. those silly little things behind the headrest weren't going protect him one iota if he ran off the pavement in one of those fishtails and flipped it.

they should put a disclaimer on it "buckethead driving, don't try this at home kids!".

it was cool to see the car put through some paces though :-)

doody.

Q: do the paddles move when turning the steering wheel or are they in a fixed position?
