Stephen,

Whatever you buy make sure it can be registered under SB 100.

Thanks for the infor guys,
I'm thinking of checking out the FF factory too. You guys pretty much listed the kits that I'm interested in. I am amazed by the number of builders out there. Any added imput would be most appreciated. Really hoping to get one in the garage before Xmas.

Cheers

I have an FFR that I'm driving around in gelcoat. Sure, the SPFs and ERAs are nice, but $20k vs $50k for a pure toy (even less practical than my Esprit) was an easy choice. I'm at $19500 right now for all costs including shipping & registration.

I've seen some diablo replica's I would like to have. But prices seem pretty high on them. For that money I could probably get a 328 or something. I've seen that F40 before too and it is pretty nice, real or not.

Stephen: I did a little Cobra research, but have stalled on my decision.

I visited the Factory Five Racing plant last month. I found the operation very impressive. They have a terrific kit for the money, and you can take it as mild/wild as you like.

But the Superformance turnkey Cobra is still my fav, cost-no-object.

Great thread Willis!
I was just about to post this week about my interest in purchasing a turnkey Cobra kit. Any thoughts/experience guys? I'm considering the ERA 427s/c kit.

It's too bad he didn't do an original body design. That way he could say that HIS car is better than a Ferrari. :-) Performace figures are impressive though.

Hate most rip-off kit cars, except the Cobras.

Jack the rear wing looks the same as the racing LM's like Roland Linder's (Think Chris Parr F40 has one as well)

My friends sent the guy an email asking about cost and everything. I'll let you know what he hears back.

I wonder why he went with that rear wing? It looks a little "aftermarket" instead of the integrated one on an actual F40.

check out this F40 replica!
http://www.f40.co.nz/f40/index.htm

My friend just showed me this and at first I thought it was just a Fiero chassis with some body work. However kit car or not it has some pretty impressive performance numbers. I'd much rather have a real F40 but after watching the videos of this creature tearing up the track I'm hoping my friend goes through with it. Roland or Chris if your out there I'd love to hear your opinion. Have any of you guys seen this thing yet?
