Kirsty: you ride into the place on the horse, and out in the horse.

Ron brings up a good point. Get the Ferrari for your honeymoon. You and your future wife will likely be too caught up in the moment to really enjoy the Ferrari anyway.

Coincidentally I rented a 355 Spider on my honeymoon in Hawaii. I put 320+ miles on it in less than a day. Now that was a good memory...

Ira, congrats on your upcoming Atlanta wedding. I'm sure Frank Parker would be happy to let you use his Boxer for this special occasion. Frank, where are you?

Ira, Try the Georgia/Alabama section of FChat. There was some discussion about renting in the Atlanta area back in April(I think). Good luck

Ira, Corngrats for the wedding..

My wife rented a 348 spyder for me in Hawaii and part of my 10th year wedding anniversary gift.. She did it the smart way by not renting it the day we renewed our vows.. You are going to pay soo much money to rent it and you will park it till the wedding and reception is over.. Do yourself a big favor, rent it before or after the wedding to get the most use out of it...

Good luck pal...

Ira, I can't lend/loan you a Ferrari because I don't have one and I live in the UK. What I can do is use this opportunity to post a couple of pictures from my wedding. This was Sept 9th 2001. A wedding present from my friend was the loan of his 348 for the day. He paid for the insurance and delivered it with the yellow ribbons on! Myself and the best man went to church in the Ferrari. My wife and I then used it to drive to the reception (we took the scenic route!). Rachael wore quite a big dress but getting in and out of the car didn't seem much of a problem.

Good luck and enjoy the day!

Is this an informal wedding?

I've seen brides that needed three people to help stuff her and her "rig" (dress and accoutrements) into a limo. How you gonna stuff all that into a Ferrari? Can you work the pedals wearing the shoes that come with a monkey suit?

It might be nice to leave in a Ferrari. It might be nicer to leave with your new wife.

Logistics: Where do you park it until you're ready to leave? Who pulls it up to the door? How do you keep enthusiastic friends from "decorating" it?

Wedding receptions are what limos live for.

What was that company that had the stretch limo that looked like a 512TR on growth hormone?

Well, Paul

Being that I'm not a drinker, this isn't an issue. Thanks for you concern though ;)

Congratulations Ira on your wedding. Good luck in your search. Especially due to the fact that you want to drive away in a Ferrari AFTER the reception! As you know, drinks and driving..... Maybe find someone with a Mondial and let them drive YOU and your bride away.

Hey Everybody,

I am getting married on September 20 and looking to rent a Ferrari for driving away from the reception. I've called several places around Atlanta but can't find anyone that can
get a Ferrari. The Atlanta market must not be that great.

So, I called a friend of mine, Bob Mayer, that used to own a 355 and he suggested that I post here and see what kind of response I get. Unfortunately, he sold his car.

So if anyone around the Atlanta area (or a couple hours from it) that would consider renting a car to me, I would GREATLY appreiciate it. The model doesn't matter for this since no matter what I drive away with, it'll be cool! :-)

When we talk, we can discuss all the details. But basically, I just need it for Saturday night, the 20th of September, and can return it Sunday the 21st.

Thanks so much for considering this. Let me know if you're interested.

You can e-mail me at [email protected] or call me at 770-598-2911

Thanks for your help.

Ira Bragg
