Thanks for your input, at least i think i'm doing it right. Not sure if I remember the position of the windows but I'll take note of that the next time it fails. Just tried raising and lowering a bunch of times but now it's working fine of course. Thanks for your assistance. Stan |

both doors must be closed, parking brake on. One quick test you can try: sit inside car, with roof up and latched, and both windows closed. put p/brake on, and release the roof latch. Both side windows should drop approx six inches once the latch is released. If one side or the other goes down all the way, then you know the micro switch in one of the doors in bad. If both windows operate correctly, then continune with the opening of the roof. Once you have the roof realeased you must push the roof back until you hear a "BEEP". If no beep is heard then you have a problem with the mirco switch in the roof. If o.k then continue with the roof down. If you operate the roof switch and you hear a beep each time you touch the switch then there is probably a bad mirco switch. If both seats move back an forth and the personal seat adjustment switch works forward an back on both seats the the seat sensor is probably o.k. I would venture a guess that one of the micro switches in the doors is not working. |

Stan, a seat solenoid failure does not allow the seats to move to the furthermost position. Does the top make any of the rapid beeping noises, or the "all OK" beep after you unlatch and move the top to the overhead position? If I recall, and its been a while, the procedure is doors closed, parking brake, unlatch top (windows go down slightly), move to overhead position, hit the switch, seats do their thing, top does it's thing. You could have air in the system, or one of the upper solenoids/microswitches causing problems. Hope that helps, Pino |

I'm having periodic conv top trouble in the down direction. Top always comes up, but sometimes won't go down, then next day it goes down fine. Seats move forward as they are supposed to do then nothing. Press the top to go up and it does and the seats move back. What is the proper P/brake, clutch, window or other position for starting to drop the top. Or do I have one of those seat selenoid failures? Stan |
