My Lotus has 4 pinhole sized holes in the floor. When asked if I should plug them so water doesn't get in, I was told to leave them open so water can get OUT.

Bud,

If it's not coolant or urine, then it sounds like a clogged condensation drain tube to me. Check for a rubber tube, approximating your A/C blower, under your car. Use a probe or a wire coathanger to clear the vent tube.

I do not know if it helps, but in my 348 i accidently hit the window washer switch and I guess one of the tubes was loose and the cleaning fluid would drip onto the carpets.

Sounds like either air conditioner condensation dripping or a heater system leak. You may have to peel back the carpet on the passenger's footwell area and take a look. My TR has a panel with quick fasteners, same as for the fuse panel and battery box lid. Do have to run your air a lot? If nothing else try not using it for a few days and see if the condition lessens. If things improve then a drain hole is plugged or something like that. To dry the car out maybe leave the windows down on a hot day, or disconnect the battery, open the doors and have a fan blow through the car for a while. But you do have to find the source of the moisture first. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Slow down on those corners, Bud. You're obviously scaring the piss out of your passenger.

Bud -- The heater flow control valve is behind the passenger footrest panel -- can you tell if it's just water or engine coolant?

No it is wet all the time.At first I thought it could be from washing it ,so I started using a finishing spray. The floor is still wet.
