Is that 360 spider metallic black? It looks like the same color as my car. I love it!!!

Plans next year are to have one rally in the CA area ending in Monterey as well as a second in the Texas area. Contact Maria Homann [email protected] if you want to be on the list.

This was an FNA not a FCA Pacific event. FNA supported by making all arrangements and providing supports vehicles and trucks. The event moves around (last year was in the Blue Ridge Mountains), rumours were that next year would be out of LA and ending in Monterey but we will have to wait and see. I have sent an email to the organizer.

BTW, if anyone is interested in larger photos so they can use for a desktoip background, let me know as the images were originally 2240x1488.

I've heard of that but always thought it was myth. My MK-IV made it through the Pebble tour which was very slow going but 47 of the 135 cars didn't. By thurs. traffic was getting heavy around Pebble. Maybe next year in the P4.

The roads were such that traffics was really a non-factor. Only around Monterey did it get to be a problem. As for speeds, there were some. Many CHP visits but few tickets. I believe the 212 had a few overheating problems due to a leaking radiator but this was fixed with - get this - egg whites.

Wow. It looks like you had a great time. What was traffic like? Could you keep speed up? How much stop and go? Overheating problems on the older cars?

Before the event, if I saw a white Spider in FML, I would probably pass without another look but after seeing it in person, I am smitten. (But I have never owned a non-black sportscar...what would I do at night instead of cleaning?) It probably did not hurt that the folks driving it were great as well.

As for the Enzo, that was the car featured in Road & Track. As Rich has already used his name there, I guess it does no harm to mention it here. He and Sean were super as well...he even let me pass him on the road so I could say I passed an Enzo in competition! After watching him pull away during a few section, I can only assume he was falling asleep when I went around him. That car is a rocketship...

Dan, i'd bet my next paycheck that the Enzo belongs to the gentleman who let Road & Track use it for their cover page article... He's all about driving the damn thing... Awesome... i hope to meet him one day...

The white 360 looks SICK... Very awesome...

The black 360 coupe is alluring as ever and there was a whole load of variety there... Looks like it was a lot of fun... Very cool, thanks for posting...

The white 360 spider and the Lusso look great! Whose Enzo? Must've been nice to see it in action.

At some point (read when I catch up on all the stuff I need to do around the house), I will map the entire route and post. The rally book did not have any street names/routes so I will have to work it from the beginning and see if I can find out which roads we really drove on. Basic tour was this:

Day 1 - Squaw Valley Resort and north for a day, return to Squaw Valley
Day 2 - Squaw Valley Resort down around Lake Tahoe, finish in Yosemite.
Day 3 - Yosemite to Monterey Hilton

Doubtful...still paying off debts to the family for 8 days of car fun last week. At least my kids got to share a trophy so it did not hurt as much!

That was Jon Shirley's alloy...one of two made I believe. I wanted to keep following and get more pictures but figured I could not afford to run into him if I overcooked a corner.

Speaking of overcooked, we had a 360 bashing party with minor damage to one nose and one tail - ouch!

The event ran from Tahoe to Monterey over 3 days from August 10-13th. There were 51 cars entered. It was a pleasure to run with everyone and see them bring out the Ferraris for a true run over the countryside. (Will all due respect to the other thread on great roads, these 3 days would rank as my favorite drive in the FCar over any particular road you might run on.) Results on the event are posted on the owners site, I will save the results for folks there.

Apologies in advance to dialup users...
