(Not exactly a speeding ticket, but was pulled over in Tujunga back in Feb. for not having plates...) The officer didn't write me up for my challenge exhaust, but did cite me a fix-it for my plates - and had the gall to ask me to email him the picture!!

Got this $500 ticket a few months ago for going a little too fast. The cop said I established a new record (for his radar) on that stretch of road coming off a turn.

A few weeks ago I got a ticket for "accellerating too hard". The funny thing is that I was in the 5PM traffic jam with bumper to bumper traffic. I dont have the ticket to scan because I threw it away in front of the police officer, as it was obviouly done just to piss me off (the tubi without cats is VERY loud though, so maybe that contributed to it).

I think I need to be a law enforcement as well, being in a police academy (perhaps like in the movie) and whenever I get pulled over, I can show my ID that I am also a cop chasing someone, even in F car,

what do you think??

Having a traffic defense lawyer definitely helps

I HAVE been pulled over by a cop on horseback!

I was out to a cruise night in St. Paul, MN, puttering along at .05 mph, the mounted policeman rode by, asked where my front plate was, "at home in the garage" I called to him. "Wrong answer, pull it over" he said.

He trotted (on horseback) over to the driver's door. I said, "I've never been pulled over by a mounted police. What is proper etiquette; do I get out or stay seated"? He grinned, said to stay put and asked for my license & insurance. He said he was letting go with a warning only because I was wearing my seat belt (???) Worked for me, I should have taken a picture.

Most tickets? I have tamed down A LOT, but when I was teenager, I racked up enough tickets to probably finance a few squad cars...(actual number withheld)

I have successfuly driven 14,000 miles without a ticket in my F355, but I get my speed buttons pushed on a race track {TWS, MSR, Cabannis} rather than on the road.

However, early in my posession, I was (let's just say) tootling around Hamilton Pool road (west of the river) at tripple digit speeds heading east. After RR12 I slowed down to legit speeds and drove for about 3 miles when a State Police car pulled off his side of the road into a ditch in an effort turn around and catch me. If he weren't carring 9 pick up trucks behind him (from going so slow) he would have got me too. I drove casually by, and took Lohmans crossing and never saw him.

My buddy and I just got one in the first drive of his new 911 C4 and my 348. The mother trucker nailed me at 89 in a 55 and Billy at 88 in the 55. He was actually pretty funny about it when walking up and told Billy "Sorry man hate to tell you, you lost to that beautiful Ferrari." Ticket is not beautiful at 215 plus god knows what on the insurance.

Terry,

The alleged ticket i posted was rated with Laser as i was coming up over a hill. The V1 went off as i crested the hill. Also, keep in mind some law enforcement agencies are using "instant on" radar.

Enjoy the Drive,

Thanks Mitch...getting back to topic I really dont count on the detector much and actually kinda look forward to getting my next ticket in the 348, it would be an embarrasment to get one in my 106k mile explorer when you have a Ferrari in the garage. Ill see what i can find on the unit. Thx Riv

Speaking of radar and detectors, I took delivery of my 94 348 two weeks ago and it has what I beleive to be an after market radar detector built into the center console. Where on the car or under the bonnets would I find this system and possibly a brand name. Ive never installed one of these and dont know much about them. It seems to have 2 positions for the small knob (city/hgwy?)

V-1 is fine but, here in the beautiful Peoples Republic of MA(credit: BigHeadDennis), I have noted an increase in Laser. State Police on 95 have been springing out in the breakdown lane, aiming and firing. Dont have a V-1 but my built in K-40 doesnt peep, even at point blank range. I can clearly see him taking aim at my front grille area.
I have been doubly fortunate, due to surrounding traffic etc I have been at an acceptable, to the officer, speed. Also, they have not noticed my missing front plate, thank god.
To be quite honest, I can travel considerably faster in my, invisible to most, silver Jeep.

The solution to this problem is simple:

VALENTINE ONE.

Not using one is like having sex with a Tijuana whore without using a condom. Not that I would know of coarse or condone such behaviour.....

Driven all over Southwest - New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and of course here in Colorado, red 308, no stops yet, even here in C Springs where cops salaries are paid for through speeding tickets ($10 per mph over limit + court fees - lady showed me her ticket for 37 in a 35 the other day).

I have two points here. One is that in the year and a half I've had a Ferrari I expect to get my next ticket with the Red car and not my SUV. I have yet to pass through a speed trap to date but I know it must be looming on the horizon. The other point is I am lucky to have my brother who is an officer of the law in my home town. His buddies are all fans of the prancing horse as well. I do not take adavantage of that however but feel a little less nervous cruising at higher speeds around town and the neerby freeway.

After the 4th ticket, I got a "One more and you lose your license" warning letter.....which I have framed! Another time, I had a speed trap set for me but I was already done with my high speed runs for the morning and they were too late. The sheriff followed me for 20 miles down PCH on the way home.

I found it to have a very strong correlation between the two.

They are after either for "real real speeding", loud exhaust, or the color, especially RED.

Anybody has the same feeling?? :-( :-(
