thanks Dennis - thats what I was wondering - whether it was only available from Valentine or if I could pick one up at a store. LionsFan - who are you speaking to with your comment - eg who said anything about buying a used one?? |

You can call up and ask Valentine for a "vacation special". Those are the units that have been returned within the 30 day period and have been completely checked out. I think that you can save $50 that way. Not to be a jerk, I swear, but if you just dropped that much coin on a F car, why not just step up and get a new version of the best radar unit on the market?

Yeah, the minimal ebay savings don't seem worth the risk of obsolete unit/ripoff. |

Valentine 1 sells ONLY directly to the consumer. No discounts. No group buys. Nada. Zilch. Say what you will about this practice, but ya gotta respect Mike Valentine for deciding to sell his product in one fashion and then sticking to it! Buying on eBay may be ok if you want to save a couple of bucks, but you'll need to make sure that what you're buying is the latest version. vty, --Dennis

Mike, I am actually in the same bucket with the stereo. I looked into it, and my stereo shop came up with a good solution. I will ask them for the details and get back to you. --Dan |

They have the Valentines on ebay quite a bit, but they don't seem to sell at much of a discount from new. Group buy!!! |

Read all the posts re: Valentine1 radar - seems like the best. Can this be purchased anywhere beside directly from Valentine1 on the web? Is there any place to get Ferrari floor mats directly? Any recommendations on Stereo upgrade for a 550. I know the engine sound is the "music" - but occassionally I want to hear some music other than Fuchs orchestra. Looking for recommendations on what to put in and who to go to- nothing too extreme - perhaps and amp and speaker upgrades. FYI - for location recommendations, I am in the LA area. |
