Yes, a very interesting article. I'd hate to have the damping control system fail at high speed! Either an ECU failure or a shock valve failure could result in some huge aerodynamic forces being applied which could have disastrous consequences. They can probably self-test the ECU each time the car is started. But I doubt they can test the shock valves each time since they're operated open-loop. Hopefully, this stuff gets checked out during every 5000 mile service....
