In may 2003, I slept in the Fondazione Manni Hotel, Via Nazionale,80 , 41053 Maranello (Italy). It is very nice and cheap ! The hotel is in the center of the town, near the Factory (500 meters). http://www.comune.maranello.mo.it/ristroranti/FONDAZIONE%20MANNI.htm There is two majors points where you can have a good sight on the track, but it is difficult to explain. But before the end of the year i will post the section Maranello on my website www.cavallino.cc, with plan of Maranello, photos, what you must see and many things... Have Fun |

You can stay in Modena, in several hotels, or in Bologna *there will I stay in just a few days * but there is also a nice hotel in Maranello...only forgot the name A nice view at the racetrack you have at the bridge, just before you enter Maranello, but becareful, you aren't allowed to pullover there. A few years ago I visited the Factory, and also the factory of Lamborghini and DeTomaso. In the Ferrari factory I wasn't allowed to take pictures, but at Lamborghini and DeTomaso they were very open. Perhaps you can write them a letter now...and ask for a Factory Tour!! You can see at the official Ferrari site www.ferrari.com when Ferrari is testing on Fiorano! Have fun at Maranello...do visit the Gallery and go shopping at the several Ferrari shops...especially WarmUp...they have soooo much!! ciao, Waldo www.forzarossa.nl |

Rob, Most all of this has been discussed recently on another thread. Try a search on Maranello and you should find it. |

On my upcoming second trip to Italy, in May 2004, I am determined to not leave the country without 1 or 2 nights in Maranello. Any advice on 1.)Where to stay 2.) Where to go to watch Fiorano lapping 3.) Is there anything to see up the road at Lamborghini? Is there any way to find out what days the F1 team is likely to be lapping? What days does Benuzzi torture the newborns? |
