In answer to Andrew's question on the F1. I believe that is the 1969 F1 owned by Jon Shirley. I thought I heard that he had the car transported to the show from his warehouse across the lake even though he was out of town for the weekend. Nice jesture if true. DJ |

Nice to finally meet you too DaveL (and you as well Janet! ). Its neat to put faces to the names that you see all the time here at the 'Chat... How did it turn out in Bellingham? You can send a note off-line if you like... |

Hi all, sorry I was busy with the two bikini threads as I neglected this one.... DaveL: sorry I missed your visit. Heard you are a swabbie as well and a brown shoe at that? I am a SWO myself, water wings ;-) Dan: it is a 288GTO front end (spoiler, gille and lights). I had that done when the car had a complete repaint from red to yellow. Long story.... I will do a page on it one day and share with you guys. Also, my motor is about 3,100 cc now so I guess my car is a "318GTO"?? OK, enough of this Ferrari BS, back to the bikini thread....

Anyone know the story behind the F1 car that was present? What year, who raced it, etc? |

Thanks Dave Handa and Peter for showing me and Janet around the show and finally meeting some of the Fchat crowd. I actually enjoyed this show much more than Concourso this year due to the hassles and the waterfront locale of the Seattle show is simply unsurpassed!!! Thanks for the friendship and fun...DaveL |

There were two Lambo Silhouettes. For some reason, I didn't take a picture of the white one that came all the way from Montana. |

Wow, a Lamborghini Silhouette... Very cool... Nice Miuras, too... Everything looked great... Dave Quick, your shot of the 550 makes it look even more bad ass than it already is... Thanks for sharing, everyone... |

That yellow 308 parked next to it was a real hottie too. It even had a 'Racerchick.com' sticker on the front. What a goof! DJ |

Dan, The yellow 308 GTB you question has a 288 nose on it along with a multitude of other modifications. I guess you could call it a 388. |

Is there any debate as to why the 246's are valued the way they are? What an absolutely gorgeous automobile!!! I love my 308, but dang, the 246 is a feast for the eyes! I wish Ferrari would build a modern version with roughly the same body style. |

Here's some photos of the other cars and bikes in attendance: LaForza SUV:
1998 Alfa Romeo Spider:
One of the Panteras featured carbon-fibre hood and engine-lid (He later won an award. Apparently, this car was a rust-bucket many years ago. One of those heroic restorations brought it to the condition its in today. Superb.):
Lawrence Yee, is this your old TR (the person in the 308 parked next to him said he was from Victoria, B.C.)?
Some of the motorbikes (Gilera, Bianchi, Moto Guzzi and a Laverda):

Ha ha Willis, I missed that little model car in the Lambo circle! I suppose it was a Murcielago (could be the reason why I overheard that conversation discussing the one that's up here in Vancouver)? Sorry, this is the only shot I have of the Maser section:
I'll add, that in the display was a Khamsin which came down from B.C. I was driving along the I-5 and stumbled into him just north of Bellingham. We had some nice bursts of speed (100+mph in some parts) when the road was empty. Certainly made the trip less boring! AND on my way back to Canada, I bumped into him AGAIN later on that evening. |

Need more pics. Does anyone have more Maserati section pictures? Overall, a very good turnout by all the clubs. Weird mix of events at the waterfront with the Italian Concours on one side and a Hindu/Indian Festival a few piers down. |

Here's something funny. Look at what's inside the white circle on the right center of the picture.
They couldn't get a Mercielago to complete the Lambo centerpiece so they went with a model. |

The 12th annual Italian Concours 'd Elegance was on the Seattle waterfront today. Fantastic weather and about 30 Ferraris + all the other Italian marques. Here's a few shots.
