Ron: One more suggestion...if you want to add even more hp I highly suggest contacting Koenig Specials in Germany. I bought their ECU chip for $3k which may seem expensive but it was the best $3k I ever spent. I have an F512M but I believe they also have one for the 512TR. They advertise an additional 35hp which is very conservative from my estimation. The power at the top of the rev band(7,800! with their chip) is earth shattering. It will destroy my 550 Maranello with Tubi and Crossover pipes. Thought you might be interested. Regards, Mark | ||

Thanks everybody. I appreciate the comments. I think I had a big smile on my face all night long. Mark, the exhaust is a custom designed racing system from V-12 engineering in Gilroy, CA. They mostly do work on Lambos. The owner of V-12 is Al Burtoni. This system has better sound than a Tubi and actually puts 30 more HP to the wheels than stock. As you know Tubi's don't do anything to add HP, just sound. Al told me that they charged about $5k for the system. It is much smaller and lighter than stock, so that helps also. The prior owner put it on. The mechanic who did the PPI said it was the fastest 512 that he had ever seen. I also have the original system in case it is ever needed for emissions testing. Ron, It looks like you should have bought a Red 740i Sport to match your color theme (Instead of what looks like Anthracite..nice color though). There are not too many around but there is one for sale in this weeks AutoWeek. This way you can have a true Testarossa threesome! | ||
