I'll just give you a moment... (imagine it withought the flames and other stuff... imagine it with maybe just a skull and crossbones ghosted in with a 1/10th darker flat black...

Glad to help. Attached images here are limited to 640x640 so I split them up to make a "larger" picture. Here is a link to the TDF CS in one piece and here is the black CS. I have a larger (2008x1452) version of the black CS that is too large for my free host, email me if you are interested and I will send it to you.

If you haven't seen it yet there is an interesting brochure from the Stradale launch in Geneva. You can download it from here (right click, save target).

Have you considered ordering the car without the stripe and having it added by a paint shop? A number of other members here have pointed out that it could be done for considerably less than the $5k Ferrari is charging.

I'm sure Ferrari would love my illustrations of the lesser known options...

hi mark,

great work! amazing. being able to see different combinations of colors, stripes, interiors, etc. is VERY helpful. this is a great service you provide. ferrari should hire you to help their customers visualize the different options available to them. the TDF blue car and the new black car pics are in two parts. is there an easy way that i can get them in a single picture? thanks again :-) i'll send my friend the two halves of the TDF blue car right away. actually the stripe looks good on the blue car as well :-) maybe he'll order the stripe now that he can see what it looks like. ferrari should be as helpful as you've been!

I wasn't particularly satisfied with that first black CS, it seemed rather dull so I tried to add some gloss to this one.

Here is a quick and dirty attempt at TDF with red interior. Of course your friend won't have the stripe and I'm guessing the slider window is not available here.

Wasn't TDF shown in the CS brochure? Here is a pic from it. Changing colors is easy, my only problem is that stripe is a real b*tch to photoshop out with the color gradient across the hood. I don't have any high res pics of the CS without the stripe so if anyone can direct me to some it would be great.

Rick, let's get really crazy and make the brake calipers green, white and red, huh...? To match the stripe...? On a black car...? That would look CRAAAAZY...! i'd definitely go for it... :-)

By the way, Mark only accepts right nuts... :-)

hi mark,

the job you do with photoshop is amazing. the pictures you did were perfect :-) i don't want to wear you out, but i have a really close friend in florida who ordered a "tour de france blue" stradale with the red interior. he is nervous about this because he's never seen this color combination. i'm sure he'd give his left nut to see a pic of a tour de france blue stradale (no stripe) with the red interior :-) if this is too much hassle i understand completely :-)

hi DES,

i traded in my yellow 360 modena to OC ferrari and planned to order a yellow stradale hopefully sometime this month (they *think* they'll get another allocation for a stradale in september...could slip to next month though). but when i saw the black stradale that mark posted it turned my world upsidedown :-) i really am struck by how awesome the stradale looks in black with the red interior (i bet red brake calipers would look great also). i had not planned on getting the stripe, but most people i've asked really like the stripe on the black stradale :-) i agree. i love yellow on a 360 so now i'm probably going to call OC ferrari and tell them that i've decided to keep my yellow 360. I'll give them my red 360 instead and order a black stradale...if it's not too late. i don't think they've sold my yellow 360 yet so i'm almost certain i can make the switch. stay tuned...

Oh, Mark, bad idea, dude - your picture just raises another question...!

That goldish/mustard color in Mark's rendition looks FABULOUS...! Now if you go for yellow, do you get the yellow that your current 360 is or do you get THAT yellow...? Damn, that looks sweet...

There was some red in the seats that was hard to kill and removing the stripe and making yellow seat trim is more work than I want to do but here is a yellow CS with blackish seats. I tried to match the color to the 360 in the garage pic but it still seems a little dark and when I lightened it was too much of a Lemon sort of color.

This pic had to be split to upload, for a whole version (it's the same size, just in one piece) click here.

Rick, whatever you do, DON'T take the medication - what you're doing is perfectly healthy and we applaud you for it...

Lemme ask you a question- which 360 are you sacrificing for the Stradale; the red one or the yellow one...? Any final decision on the color...?

hi jean-louie. we're going to tag along on the drive tomorrow :-)

hi jay and ron. glad you like my garage. both 360's are F1s. i'm a bit nuts i guess, but i like having a red/tan ferrari for tradition and a yellow for fun (the yellow car has black daytona seats with yellow piping). my wife has had to put up with me being like this for years :-) i've heard there is medication for guys (obsessive) like me...

Rick.

I Love your Garage and I love the fact that you have 2 Ferraris.

One question. Why 2 360 Modena coupes? Is one a paddle and the other manual?

Just wanted to know??

hi DES. almost, but not quite :-) i have two (one red and one yellow) 360 modenas (hence my handle 720).

i just made a deal with OC ferrari to buy one stradale. i had to trade in one of my 360's to sweeten the deal for them. i gave them my yellow 360 and am planning to order the stradale in yellow (btw, i'm going to ask ferrari to customize the seats black with yellow trim instead of the red with black trim i've seen on most stradales). but when i saw the black stradale it looked GREAT so now i'm wavering... i love the strip on the black car, but i probably will not get it if i go with yellow.Upload

Rick, you've got two 360 Challenges...? THAT ROCKS...! i would definitely say that since you already have one in yellow that you should go for the black one with the stripe... If you get the yellow, are you going to get it with a stripe, too...? That seems like it would look pretty cool...

Black, however, is my favorite color... :-) i definitely suggest black...

i am lucky enough to be able to order a stradale. i will feel better once my order is actually submitted to ferrari, but this should happen this month...i hope... (gulp). but what color to order? after a lot of sleepless nights i settled on a yellow stradale. then toay i saw the post of the black stradale! it looks fantastic. should i stick with yellow...or order the black? more sleepless nights i guess :-)

Those who have not placed their orders for the Stradale will have no chance of getting one. I think they have all been "sold out". Only 900 will be made and 10% will be in RHD. So only 810 LHD to be distributed throughout Europe, North America and Japan. That's not very much.

There is a somewhat rare color Canna di Fucile or Gunmetal that might be close to what you like. Steve Harris Imports has had a couple cars in this color. A few months ago there was a really great looking 360 Spyder and more recently this 456M GT.

The black should have black interior as well, no ?

Joe, i was probably one of the first to say that i didn't like the stripe on the car, when pictures were first released (in red, of course); but then the subject came up (again) recently and i asked if someone could somehow photoshop a picture so that i could see what the car looked like in black, with the stripe...

...and here it is...

...and yes, on this one, the stripe STAYS. In this picture, it looks awesome...

Good morning, people...! How is everyone this morning...? i had another wonderful weekend... :-)

Anyway, last week, there was a thread about the above-mentioned and i asked if someone could photoshop the car so i could see what it looked like in black with the center stripe still there...

Well, this morning, there was an email waiting for me from a noreplies address; contained therein were two pictures of a black 360 Stradale... i didn't reply to the email, 'cause, well... it said 'noreplies'; so i just wanted to say thank you. Thank you.
