I missed this due to being out of the country for a while. Would like to be in the next BAD... especially if it is in the Peninsula... I like to keep the Dino close to home.

Michael,
Tom's post seemed to indicate anyone could just show up there. Just head for the Ferrari's!

I was planning on going to the Santana Row event, but I PM'ed Tom Friday night and did not receive any response from him. So, I have no idea what the procedure is to attend.

Can anybody e-mail me with instructions?

Ok Guys, this is what I've been able to figure out. Several scheduling conflicts among various people have prevented the establishment of an agreeable driving route in time for the drive that Steve proposed for tomorrow. So it seems like the extended drive is not happening. However, since I haven't taken my baby out for a run this week, and I'm getting itchy, I'm going to do an HMB run tomorrow myself anyway. I know this is last minute, but if anybody is interested in joining, I'll be there at about 8am. Anyone wishing to meet in serramonte please post here and I'll check in the morning before I leave.
Perhaps we could tentatively schedule the extended drive for 9/28 or 10/5. What days are good for you guys, and where do you want to go?

So, where are we at???
Is anyone in on this????

Noel, the Page Mill route is a good one, but I am not to sure how the F cars will do. On the last breakfast, I took it up from 280, over to Skyline and then down 92. I have taken PM many times, and it is a very bumpy and "darty" road. Not to sure you guys will enjoy it.

One idea is to go all the way to 4 corners, and then hang out there, let the cars cool and the CHP pass, and then head back up skyline to each respective exit.

I know I am new to the group, but my 2 cents.

BTW_____ has anyone heard about the F event at Santana Row in San Jose/Santa Clara on Sunday????

If so..I dont have full details, but maybe a Sunday drive there????????

Here's what I propose. We meet at the usual place & time in HMB. We chat, drink, eat donuts, whatever and then take a drive to Woodside Rd then Skyline Blvd. We can also take Pagemill Rd as Dan suggested (although I am not familiar with it).

I cant commit for a whole day drive as I dont think I'll have the energy since I will be up early that Sunday to watch the F1 race (and besides there's football!).

So, what's the deal? Where's everyone else who wanted to go.

I have completely bald outside edges on both fronts now so it'll be interesting for me ;)

Is there room for me? I would love to go! I will be flying into San Jose on Saturday and I will be there for the week for business. My business partners both have F-cars but I am not sure if they would want to go so if there is a possibility that I could tag along with someone that would be awesome.

Hey guys, I'm still moving into our new office in Healdsburg, Highway 128 EAST from Healdsburg through Knights and Alaxander Valleys to the Napa Valley is one of my fav drives.

A much longer drive (all day at least) is 128 WEST all the way up and out to Mendocino (the town) and Highway 1.

A fun (and ~45min) dinner/beach drive I do is out West-side road, to River Road, and follow the Russian River all the way to the coast and eat dinner at Mystic Isle Cafe (or drive another 20min south to Bodega and eat at the Tides resturant. Both while watching the sun go down over the water :-)

It's embaraseing how little I know about local wineries, but between Art and Vincent and myself, I think we could put a decent drive together!

Esp early Sunday morning, there will be no traffic or cops to speak of :-) In Healdsburg, Center Street Cafe's breakfast is *awesome*.

It's all about 1.5 hours from the south bay.

Best!
Ben.

Steve: why not bring a few of us along? :-) Personally, I think the woodside route will be way too clogged with bicyclists (inherently more dangerous than bikers).

One lesser-frequented and longer run is Page Mill all the way up to Skyline, then skyline back to 92 or 84 or whatever you want.

Perhaps we should push the drive back.

Mario: let's see what develops.

Rich: Dude - no questions on that one. I meant to call you up - did you get to resolve the issue? Email about it....

Takao-chan - I know, I know. You love Stevey and Joey but not me!

Dan,

Since I should be able to make it this trip..I believe the Healdsburg/Sonoma/Napa area should be nice.

Ok guys, I know there was a lot of talk, but what's the actual story. And where's the guy *I* want leading the pack, Art?

Ok - so there was a lot of talk about finding roads around here (los gatos mountains?), or better yet, heading up north. I did an M5 drive about 2 years back in healdsburg, etc. and it was good times. Virtually no cops, good roads for the most part, scenic, little to no traffic, and you could always stop at the myriad smaller wineries for a snack / refreshments (no Art, this is not a wine-tasting adventure).

So boys - what say you?
