I sold them for a while. I had spent three years in the biz before selling F-cars....one year in sales and two in management. I left a GSM position to take the F-car sales position.

It ain't all fun and games, and unless you've got a big nut stashed away, don't do it. It takes a LOOOOONG time to build up a clientele, and in the interim, you'll starve.

Where I worked, we sold about 1 new F-car a month, 2 used F-cars, and maybe 10 Porsches. That's 12 units split among 6 salespeople, some of whom sold more than one. Inevitably, there was one or two salespeople who blanked for the month, making nothing but minimum wage.

And if you think selling F-cars means that you'll get full-pop on each car, you're wrong! Some of the nastiest grinders I've encountered were P and F-car buyers.

Anyways, it was an experience, but I left it to go to school to become a lawyer. I'd much rather BUY them than SELL them.

The rumor is for Ferrari salespeople, there not as much money in it as what you would think. Do a search, this has been covered several times.

I ran into a salesman that sells exotic cars. He told me he used to work at a Toyota dealership. He said that he was thinking about going back to Toyota. He said Toyota has alot more sales action than the exotics.

You really need great sales experience from somewhere credible, not necessarily with cars but with the same terms as what the Ferrari job would require.

experiance from another auto dealer, toyota, honda... yada yada... in sales or what ever department you are interested in.
Or... go apply for a detal job and work your way up.
OR someone from the inside recomends you!

What would it take to get hired at one? As a sales person?
