Mike,

I dont have the warranty book, but here is the stuff that came in mine. Also notice on the inside of our pouches on the right hand side there is a pocket near the bottom, that is separate from the side one? I wonder what came I this??

Mike,

Cool, the part I am really missing is the metal clasp on the end of the strap, could you measure it?

My strap has been cut but I think there is enough left to fix if I can find the metal part.

I will post pics of my contents tomorrow, Mike or anyone interested send me your e-mail and i will send the pdf of the gt4 technical revisions update.

Thanks again!

Rob, I measured the strap and it is 10cm long by 3.5cm wide.

To my knowledge, my 308GT4 Avorio boxer paint is original. Production date was June 1975. I think I've seen the bulletin you're referring to, but if you don't mind, please send it to me.

FYI - I made a website of photos of my GT4:

Here are pictures of the contents of the pouch:

Regards, Mike

Thanks Mike, Barry and Michael for the info,

I have had only one positive response to my e-mail to 30 luggage/leather/shoe repair shops. The lady says she has something simmilar and wanted to know the size. Michael could you measure your male snap fitting and post the info. Yours looks exactly like my pouch (down to the frayed strap:-)so I am sure they would be the same part. Is the color gold or brass?

I would be curious also what other things came in your pouch I will post pics of mine if you post pics of yours!

BTW cool gt4 was your car originally that color, mine was repainted at the dealership with boxer paint scheme before sale. I have the bulletin pertaining to that if you are interested, it details the badge, wheel, AC, bumpers, exhaust etc. My car came in as a Dino and was rebadged and retrofitted with all the 76 stuff before sale. I have got in heated debates at car shows even showing them the bulletin to no avail........

Anyway Thanks again!!!

Robert,

The male fitting is pretty standard and generic. Take your pouch and the posted pictures to a luggage shop that also does repairs. I'm sure they'll have a brass fitting which will be identical.

Thanks again guys,

I have talked to several leather shops and since all I am missing is the metal end piece no one said they could find or get the part. If any on has access to a leather shop that could get the part let me know :-)

I am sure i could attach it myself if I could find one.....

Robert,

Take your pouch and these pictures of the strap with the male snap to a good old-fashioned leather repair/restoration shop. They should be able to accomplish the repair for a whole lot less than buying another pouch to harvest the flap from. A pouch with an intact strap will cost several hundred dollars.

Thanks guys,

Looks like I am missing the male snap end that goes on the end of the flap....... Mine still has a sticker with the serial number on there so looks like I will have to find a bad one and nick the snap part.

I have a gt4 manual pouch that is partially missing the leather strap and snap. Can any of you gt4 owners post a couple of pictures of close ups of the strap and snap. I am trying to fix mine and need some reference.

Thanks,

Rob
