Thanks for the correction but you guys know what I'm trying to say don't you? I'm having my breakfast now and took my chill pill. Sorry Ryan that I misunderstood ya, that was a good one, "I do drive wrecklessly" but I am not a typical Lambo owner even though I wear gold teeth, a big fat chain, and a big nugget on my ear |

-- There's a joke here since this thread is "Typical Lambo Owner" -- Ken - good observation, hadn't even made that connection but agree - there is extra chuckle value in it. Speaks for itself. |

Modman, The word you meant to use is: recklessly. Such reckless endangerment, reckless driving, etc. You said "wrecklessly" which can be interpreted as "without wrecks" although it's not really a word in the English laguage. I was saying that you do drive "wrecklessly" (without wrecks) if you have not had an accident in 5 years as you said. I thought that you would have gotten it. |

Modman -- MWG, apparantly you did miss more than something, see if you can figure out the obvious. -- Modman - see if YOU can figure out the obvious! You look very silly here. I think YOU continue to miss the obvious which went WAY over your head. Let me spell it out for you. wrecklessly - MADE UP WORD (by you inadvertantly in your posts.) recklessly - : marked by lack of proper caution : careless of consequences "wrecklessly" (in quotes) - a clever pun by Ryan to make an innocent play on your spelling error. e.g wreck + less = wreckless e.g. you have not been in any wrecks - so your spelling blunder [wrecklessly] is in fact kind of appropriate in a way - wreck less (in honor of your wreck free driving. He even said he would put a smiley face in his message if he knew how. I think you owe Ryan an apology. Like you said "ignorance is no excuse." As for the advice you dish out -- Hope you think before you speak next time. -- Well perhaps you should try it! And please - take a chill pill. This is a friendly forum.

pun n. A play on words which have the same sound but different meanings; an expression in which two different applications of a word present an odd or ludicrous idea; a kind of quibble or equivocation. |

MWG, apparantly you did miss more than something, see if you can figure out the obvious. No, Ryan and I did not have any run ins and I do not find myself out of line, yes I did read correctly. I tell it how it is and ignorance is no excuse. How can anyone make an assumption without knowing the facts? can you tell me that? at least I know the answer to the truth, you obviously don't. Again people need to think before they speak out loud. At least I can back up what I say here and I can say that Ryans remark that I drive wrecklessly is wrong, if I drive wrecklessly then so does he and everyone who ever owns a sports car, do you like that logic, hey at least that is more realistic than the comments given about me here. How many accidents do you have? if you don't have any then you must drive wrecklessly right, or maybe you do have an accident record and you damn well aren't a carefull driver, how's that for an innocent comment, hey at least understand what I'm teaching here, can you do at least that for me? |

Modman - did I miss something here? What prompted the outburst towards Ryan? Seems way out of line. I do not know Ryan but I think he was making a very innocent comment / funny and you perhaps read it wrong - or something (maybe you two have had some previous run ins?) Ryan simply type a colon followed by a ) and it will automatically convert into when posted. |

Ryan, you have obvious reasons for your comments, but you are absolutely wrong, one you don't know me, 2 you don't know about my driving experiences. I know my limitations and don't use the streets as testing grounds and also I never push any of my cars nowhere near it's limits on the streets. Hope you think before you speak next time. Don't even act like you've never been over 100mph, I don't want to hear about what you don't know about me comments because you don't know enough about Jack, Sherlock. I don't have accidents cause I either avoid them or know my limits. I'm not going to Bu**, yes I do speed, I can't drive 65 on the freeway, off the freeway, that's different, I have to be responsible and besides people in my town know me. I've had more problems with other drivers on the road so that's the facts and let's leave it at that. You can come visit me anytime and I can guarantee you a second thought |

I think the reaction is not that cars can do that speed it is that people will actually drive them that fast!!!especially on the street. |

Modman, I would argue that if you haven't had an accident in 5 years then you do drive "wrecklessly." If I could do the smiley face thing I would put it here now. |

I know how choppers work and how speeders are caught, my good pal is a CHP pilot and I drive with all eyes open and besides I drive with caution not wrecklessly like most people do. I do short bursts to get at that speed and it won't be enough length to measure my speed accurately as I can get to high speeds fast as well as slow down fast. I have an accident free record and also no speeding tickets for over 5 years, knock on wood if I ever not look around me and think of something else while driving fast. Driving fast is OK but you have to know how to do it, I leave it at that and you figure out the rest. All I can add to that is drive responsibly. |

Soon as the chopper is on you, better call your lawyer. The odd thing about the media response to this story is this incredulous attitude, as if people didn't believe cars go that fast... |

William, it's very hard for me to do less than 100 everytime I take mine out, I easily hit over 100 before entering the freeway. It is easy to accept ones comment and believe in it, I learn that talk is cheap and it's better to live the facts. I hear more silly comments on other cars except Ferrari, obvious right? stupid if you asked me. It's more rediculous when a heavy stock luxury car can almost outperform most all of the Ferrari road cars very comfortably and quietly with the AC on driving with one hand and if this sounded rediculous then everything here is rediculous, it's like going around in circles, face it, in the real world of driving, all of this of this is faster than that on the race track means absolutely nothing when you get on the street cause you better be prepared for some embarrassment when someone pulls next to you and blow you away and you become and ant in the mirror, now that is reality fellas, who gives a about Ferrari or Lambo, they are both pieces of anyway, lets end it at that. |

As a former F1 test driver for Lamborgini once told me when asked how it was compared to the Alfa Romeo he previously drove in F1...."well...it was a piece of s**t in all honesty".... |

Er! I can assure you that "most" Lambo drivers in Tampa quite often run over 100 MPH, all on the race track of course. A 6.0 Diablo is an amazing beast & i can attest that you can't outrun a cops radio, even at a more realistic speed of 140 MPH.

First defense: Your Honor, I defy the prosecutor to exit the subject vehicle without stumbling over the wide sill and hitting his head on the scissors door. That testimony proves absolutely nothing about the condition of my client, but only that Lambos are nortoriously difficult for persons to ingress into and egress out of. Now, as to those other specious charges.... |
