Tire choice would depend on your use. As Robert mentioned, the S02s are primarily for dry use. The Extreme Contacts are all season tires. I have the S03s on the 328, and they are pretty good in both wet and dry. They go noticably "off" below 40degF, though. Some people don't like the handling effects of the round shouldered Bridgestones. To me, they feel like they have more contact patch in turns than on the straight ... or maybe mine are just over-inflated. I've been pretty impressed with the Yoko Advan A046s that came on the EVO. They're none too quiet, but they handle wet and dry, and have a squarer profile than the Bridgestones. Again, the Advans are a summer-only tire. You might want to check out the tires, etc, forums over at http://forums.evolutionm.net which is sponsored by Tire Rack and has Tire Rack staff (mostly Neal) answering questions. You can browse without registering, but you'll need to register to post questions. |

Thanks everyone! Unfortunately, only Bridgestone that is sized correctly is an SO-1 (215 or 225/50-17; 245 or 255/45-17). I have RE-71s (Remember those?) on right now. Wheel widths are 7.5 and 8.5. Still very much undecided, but the Yoko ES-100s are looking ok, although the ContiExtremeContact sure gets great reviews for the price. thanks again rt

>> Im looking at my Tire Rack receipt now, and it says "BS POZ S02A Ferrari S-03 Type Pattern". Whatever that means. $234 each. << Ernesto, you got the S-02A which is standard equipment on the 360. It is the best of the "S-0..." series tires. |

The reason I got the S-02's is someone here (I'm sorry I forgot your name)talked me into it. Supposedly the S-03's when they wear have better wet grip somehow sacrificing some dry grip, wereas the S-02 (non pole position) have a dry grip compound, with little wet grip. It never gets wet here so I opted for the S-02's. I also like the tread design better to me it looks more old fashioned than the big block S-03. The shoulder is more rounded and even though I had rubbing issues with a 225/50 in front with the Pirellis, I am pretty sure the S-02 in a 225/50 would have fit. Notice the difference in the photo below of the same size tires and rims especially at the shoulders. Rob |

I got the bridgestone 0-3 on my 328 very happy, and what a great price compared to the pilots. John |

"Whatever that means." It means you got the S02 belts and internal construction, S02A rubber compounding, and S03 tread moulding. |

The S03s are better on my F355 than the S02s. |

Russ, If they have the bridgestone S-02 in your size grab them, they are the best tires I ever had very sticky and comfortable. I love them! Rob

I just ordered the S02 for my 360 from Tire Rack. Havent tried them out yet, but I expect them to be much better than the Pirellis. Ernesto |
