Hi Joe, Would love to see pictures of your project! Can I find them in some other thread? It would be even better to see some before and after shots! Congratulations to you and your father! That is a nice story. -Roberto Stu, nice car! |

Thanks Tyson, Someone mentioned that to me a while back, so I sent him an email regarding my car. We emailed each other a few times, but when it got down to price he though it was worth "somewhere between $28 & $32". That's when the conversation ended! Thanks for thinking of me though! It looks like I have a very interested buyer - one who understands the value of a well cared for QV - but I won't count my eggs just yet. If it happens, it will be next weekend and I'll post if it sells. |

That's a good story Joe and welcome. I want to buy a restorable Ferrari when my daughter or son is about 12 and start restoring it and then giving it to them when they're ready. Of course kids will do what they want to do. My dad wanted me to be a pro golfer like my brother, instead I ran from the golf course straight into the swimming pool. |

Joe, That's awesome... not many ppl would've turned down that offer... these cars are definitely a labor of love after a certain point. I admire your commitment to fixing up the 308! Good luck, and welcome! |

stu, next time i run into him i will pass your info along. pete, my thought on ferraris' is to keep adding them to the garage. not trade one for another. dave, i found a perfect 328 for sale in michigan if i remember right. anyway it is blue with tan hides. stunning car. 89' with only 7000+ miles. serviced etc. BUT!!!! the dealer wants over 70K for it. i'd rather put myself into a nice black testarossa for those dollars. |

Hey Joe, $40k - really? Tell the guy about my car, which is for sale, and if he buys there's $500 bucks in it for you! www.msnusers.com/85308QV (see pics and docs) Good luck with yours - sounds like a great father & son project! Thanks, Stu |

Joe, I would have flipped it and picked up a 328! :-) Great cars, but never get too sentimental my man....You have done a great job in giving that car a good home and making it look it's best. I wouldn't pass an opportunity to "upgrade" again....IMHO. All the best, Dave |

$40k is top dollar for a 79 308; either you did a great job on it or you missed a great opportunity. |

im not a new owner but i have been floating around the site awhile now. my name is joe brosseau and me and my dad bought ourselves a 79' ferrari 308 back in january as a father/son project/toy. it needed some work and really alot of cleaning. but we think we ended up with a nice car. we bought it for 24k and just 2 weeks ago i was offered 40k by some guy who wanted it for his wife. she was a huge magnum P.I. fan. i had to turn it down. i have alot of blood and sweat in this car. anyway im 22 and my dad is 40something,lol. dave handa knows the car well. and it was seen in the "wheels for a 308" thread. |
