I think if you were buying it privately... 35 to 36. But through a dealer is going to cost a little more. If you really want it make an offer in that range and see what kind of reaction you get.

You guys may want to look at my 86 cab I am selling. Been on the market a while for $34 and every offer I got was $28-30K. I have a buyer now but have not received a deposit yet. Check it out on my profile and details are on my web page at http://home.nc.rr.com/billfishin $40K sounds too high. I would think $35-36K w/service is the tops I would go.

I have an '84 Mondial QV cab for sale that is traditional Rossa corsa/tan interior/and black top with aprox. 31,200 miles. I have owned the car since '95, and purchased it from a local owner. The car has had a new black top, recent major service, new water pump, fresh heads, new battery, new clutch & slave cylinder. Has factory wheels with TRX tires, optional cockpit cover, books, tools, and service records.I also have 2nd set of 16" Etoile wheels, factory service manual, and sales brochures for the car.

All service since '95, and most before, was by Tony Selvaggio at Eurosport. Car was award winner at '96 Ferrari national meet. Interior leather is in excellent condition.

If you want an excellent Mondial cab, call me for price & more details: 585-383-0202 days/585-467-1265 nites/weekends.

Last month, my cousin traded in his 86 Mondial Cab with about 16K miles, black and tan, 30K done last summer to the Ferrari dealer for a 575. Car won a silver medal at Concorso Italiano last year. Trade value was $27,500. Hopes this helps in valueing the car.

I think that $28K-30K would be a "steal"......I doubt that the dealer would go for it. My guess would be mid 30's.

I had a 3.2 Mondial convetible, and I think that it is a great buy at this time.

Damn Ken, didn't we just discuss this? :-)

I'd probably start at $30k and go to $33k if James gives it a clean bill of health. It sounds like it's in good shape and I'd imagine the dealer wants to get rid of it. Maybe James can put you in touch w/ the previous owner? The scrapes are not unusual, just look at my spoiler. Should Rob and I go check it out at lunch some day?

Just talked to james Patterson. He knows the car and the previous owner and says that it is a good example. But, he says I should be thinking about paying $28-$30k max and doing a major in about 2 years.

The cars has tools and a fair amount of records. However, the front bumper needs a repaint due to some fresh scrapes that look like they may have come from the porters driver the car around the dealership. I would have Norwoods do a PPI and see what shape the car is in. The radio is missing, the top looks good, paint looks good, leater is about what i would expect for an '88.

I would only pay $33k if it had a recent major and Norwoods gives it a perfect PPI. Complete records and tools?

Being a cab is a great bonus though.

I am considering purchasing this car. It has 26,xxx miles. Body is good, no repaint. At 21k miles, almost every seal in the car was replaced and it appears as if the belts were changed. No significant maintenance since that time 4 years ago.

According to NADA, the car is valued at $33k. Dealer is asking near $40k.

Can someone please give me some info on things to look out for in the maintenance history and potential problems with this model.
