Marc,

Here's why I think your car looks so great. The major service will be done on mine next week. Upload

Absolutely! I was out there house hunting last weekend - prices are astronomical, but it's a nice part of the world. I will be working in Holborn and my fife in Hatfield...so we need to find a happy medium.

Thanks for the links,

MARK

Have a look on www.rightmove.co.uk - all property listings for the area are in there from local agents.

See if this link works..you can tailor the search to price/bedroom numbers, etc.

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/rm/s/rm/action/publicsite.PropertySearch/svr/1033

Will be cool to have another Ferrari to rip up and down the hight street with..We could start a RFC!

Hey Marc - welcome to the club! She looks gorgeous.

Radlett...exactly the area in which I am looking for a house! Please let me know if you hear of anything detached with 3-4 bedrooms and 2 lock-up garages or of any new developments in the area. I'm getting pretty desperate at this stage!

Cheers, MARK

Jack,

I thought Ferrari's were supposed to help you pull babes, not dogs! Cute profile pic.

I am loving the car, thanks. A couple of other pics on http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/174013/317005.html?1063893969

cheers,

Marc.

Marc, congrats! Great choice. I don't know if anyone pointed it out for you, but there's a shifting "style" that works best on the 328. Don't try and "steer" the shifter into gear, but rather let it find the gear with a gentler effort, if that makes sense. Enjoy!

Marc,

It's a beauty. But I'm prejudiced since I bought one that is almost identical last week. Mine has a tan interior and doesn't have the fender badges, but the color and model are the same.

I suspect you never forget the day you bought your first Ferrari.

Hope to see you soon, your friend from the cruise, Jonathan Sawyer

Try changing the Gearbox oil, there have been plenty of threads and Malcolm at F UK has been really helpfull, as for the driving position I found that seat further back and drop the Steering coulum a bit (check the archives on that one but it can be done really easily), have a friend who is 5"4' and fits well with a few mods

Two questions for you guys:

1. The gears seem very stiff, even after warming up..I expected to have to make very definate movements through the gears, but also thought I would get used to this fairly quickly - sound normal?

2. Driving position - I have been trying various positions to get comfortable and feel most in control, and currently have been sitting fairly upright and close to the wheel..is a 'normal' position in a Ferrari supposed to be leaning back, legs straight, racing car style, or is it really about being comfortable? Does it matter in terms of optimising control?

Thanks,

Marc.

I live in Radlett, in Hertfordshire. It's about 20 miles from central London, just north of Watford.

And yes, plenty of room for the top, being a short-ass!

Beautiful car!
2 observations:
The indicator-repeater is behind the front wheel, never saw that.
Second: You seem to have plenty of room behind the seat for the targa top!

Done it. Bought the dream.

Thanks all for your invaluable help and advice, in particular Wolfgang and Trevi. I won't bore you with the lead up (again) - anyone interested can see the build up to my purchase on

http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/174013/304880.html?1061648357

but needless to say, a first road trip in the Ferrari travelling 1000km from Singen in Germany to Hertfordshire in England with my Dad was, quite simply, AWESOME!

And what a showroom - Auto Salon, Singen is like a museum of the most amazing and exotic cars from all eras - wonderful place.

A few pics of my new baby..Thanks again,

Marc.
