Damn William,

That makes the pictures all the more painful to look at! Shame, but accidents happen I guess. This car should definitely be brought back to life.

Cheers

If you look on my profile you will see my 512TR racer that I brought back from the grave after someone lost it at Watkins Glen & nosed into a wall. To bring it back as a race car has cost over $100k not including the purchase of the hulk. To bring this back as a road car you are probably talking at least $100k.

It would be a great track car :-)

Oh Man, I think I know who used to own this car. Another guy also called Scott :-) He sold his Daytona to a guy who promptly totaled it when some dumbazz ran into him. What a shame but if my 512TR racer can come back so can this Baby

I belive Scott now has an AM Virage & runs with AMOC in the NE

Scott, if you have a membership could you please just post the number. Seems like there is going to be a frenzy over buying this car. I will gladly pay you $10.00 for the information.

If you want to get the contact info, you have to pay for it. Go to the site and search for the car. Once you find it, sign up. Its only $.49 for a single search.

I think that car could be fixed. It will take a ton of work and some very hard to find parts, but It can certainly be restored. The chassis tubes are sure to be bent, and I wonder how much of the suspension /steering gear is trashed. Also, hopefully the radiator was not shoved back into the engine with enough force to crack anything.

Its going to need lots of little bits in addition to the obvious large bits. I wouldnt be surprised at $30K+ in parts alone. Even then, if it can be bought for $30K or so, its probably a really great project car for someone!

I saw a show on Speedvision,"Hemmings My classic car",with Dennis Gage,a few weeks ago. It showed a guy in Illinois, who, with his brother, bought a (I believe,'66) 275GTB, that was wrecked ALOT worse than this car is,AND they totally restored it,repaired it,painted it a nice California blue. It was saved! It is now a perfectly driving and appearing car in every aspect. Cant tell that it was ever wrecked, just by looking at it. (I am sure that there are some geniuses out there who say that they could spot it a mile away. But,to the average person,it looks great!) So,after seeing that story. There's a very good chance that this car can be,too. So don't get too upset,it CAN be fixed! (just need LOTS of dough,LOTS of time,LOTS of patience, and LOTS of know how!)

Jeff at Ferrari UK posted a photo of an NOS Daytona front cap that they had for sale a few weeks ago. Looks like just the thing to get this car on the road to restoration.
The steering wheel looks badly bent. Did the driver's head make that "alteration"?
Where is that car located? I have a trailer and will gladly offer $5000 and haul it home. I wouldn't want any of the NAYSAYERS to get their hands dirty trying to restore such a damaged beast. I'm sure they would simply part it out.

Now that is what I was looking for! How do I get in contact with the seller? There appears to be no phone number on the web site.

How hard would it be to get the body parts for this?

Not interested in buying it, but curious.

Found this on www.copartfinder.com . Didn't someone on here recently say they were looking into a Daytona that needed some TLC, this one looks like a good parts car from the doors back. Then again, it might turn up on Ebay in a couple of months.
