Van I've never heard the sound you are describing. I drove my car all summer in the Phoenix heat. Temperature was always 110-115. When I would start the drive, the oil & water temps would be @170/175. It didn't take long for those temps to reach 210. So I guess I'm saying is that the high pitch you are hearing may not be related to the oil and water temps? I too have the F1. |

I would suspect the transmission, a sharp peak in water temp usually means the transmission is not happy where you in traffic, on the road, at a track ? how fast ? |

a odd thing happened today as i was driving my car-i heard a noise high pitch whiched occured about 3 times then stopped.at that point my oil and water temp.went up. the oil and water have always been around 175f.the oil and water temp.both went up approximately 55f. the cooling fans work.i checked the fuse for the water pump and it was ok .i let the car cool down still a little warm -turned it on and the water temp went up to approximately 210f within minutes.i dont know if the sound i heard was a relay going or what.any suggestion before i take it to toronto. |
