I use Erie Insurance group. I have called Geico just to see if they could beet my rate and they were unable. I have to let the car sit 90days to get a limited use rate, but it snows alot here in Pa. so its not too bad.

I have used both Collectors Car Insurance, Inc and Grundy. Both very competitive.

Sorry Casey.

I have no advice to offer you but I do have a question for some of the others who mentioned Leland West. I know you can get a quote from them online but how do accidents on your record effect the price? What is their policy for how many years they go back to check your record? How many accidents will they allow in that time frame and still accept coverage?

Anyway Casey good luck!

Casey...

Try "classic car" policies.

They usually limit you to between 2-5K a year among other restrictions, but it is a Ferrari, and they are cheap. From the costs you are quoting however, you may have already gone that route.

I have a good friend who's an agent for farmer's insurance. I've got multiple cars with him but I pay maybe $500-$600 a year... 6 months full coverage, 6 comp. I'm 33, 80 GTSi

ok. Thanks. I'll look into chubb and geico. Allied was charging me $620/6 months for comprehensive. Not that bad.

Thank your lucky stars that you do not live in Canada.....Alberta in particular.

You'd pay about $750 USD a month just to drive it.

Good luck !

I was 23 when I bought my first Ferrari. Don't know if Chubb has a minimum age requirement, but I have a feeling you're not going to have fun trying to get insurance for it.

I just got word today that my insurance company (Allied)will no longer hold my policy with a 20 year old listed under a ferrari (imagine!). Since I am not driving the car during the winter I only had it under comprehensive (just in case someone steals it or the garage should burn down). What is the best company for F- insurance and are they age discriminat?
