I guess that is why he did a private auction as we cannot buy it now and end it. In theory he can get his 10% from a bunch of people and never approve them as a bidder. Ebay will not do anything as he has probably not violated their terms. I think he would actualy have to sell it online for them to get involved.

If he was the person that bought it from Sheehan, he must have flown it home, as he has not even drivien it 1 mile :-)

Pretty funny stuff, I just hope that somebody doesnt take the bait.

"I told him I would like to see the car in NY, he told me "these are my terms, take it or leave it"

Its probably hard for him to show a car from a prison cell.

Is it just me, or can you guys picture a bunch of crooks waiting in line at prinsons to use the computer. :-)

Look familiar to anybody? If you check out the properties on the pics in the auction they're from the Michael Sheehan site and the car is in the "SOLD" section. Granted the person posting the auction could be the person who bought it from Sheehan, but I doubt it. Go figure :-)

76,000 and free shipping....he will meet with you in a week after you receive the car (after he has been wired the 10%) how can Ebay allow such scams? and then give you the title if you want the car.... I bet he will take 10% of 50,000.

even with the ugly green, I would love to buy this car...for 76,000.00. But, any seller would say, yes, come look at it, give me the money and i will give you the car and the title. It is a scam; no doubt. Why the big hurry? Why a 3 day auction? How can buygoldinc have sucha feedback? too many questions...but what he really wants is your 10% and as many other suckers he can get hooked...who knows

Exactly Doody...just because there are red flags that doesn't mean anything crooked is up yet.

Green leather is a big reason to dump a car like this.

if it's a scam, he's a fairly thorough guy; witness the comment re: the wheels being updated.

payment terms are not reasonable IMO. someone in NY should ask if they can come see it. if he says "no" then we'd know for sure.

i'm pretty flexible on color schemes, but that green just doesn't do it for me.

doody.

Last year, Luxury Motors (Illinois) had a 550 in the same color scheme ... lent it an Aston Martin nuance

Jordan - I'm glad someone else recognized the color combo.

Now, I don't remember if his was a 97 or not, but I sure as heck remember looking at that combo and going "Hmmmm....I think....I might...hmmmm....maybe like that! Yeah!"

May not be his, but if it ain't, it would be interesting to find out how many 550's had that combo.

Rememeber that there are NEVER deals this good

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6212&item=2432802520

Recently changed userID
Private Auction
Low Buy it Now price
Payment terms are very strange
Owner say I can pay him in person as long as I wire him 10% first.
He says car is in NY, carfax say it was last registered in South Carolina
He says it has 9203 miles, carfax say it had 9105 in December of 2001.
The seller has not had a positive feedback since 2/11/01 not a very active acount..

My guess is that the Ebay user has had his acount hijacked by one of the other scams we have seen floating around.

Pretty unusual interior color, anyone know of this car?
