Van As I mentioned before, here in Phoenix with the summer temps at 110-115, stop and go traffic, or running the car hard, my temperature gauges reach 210. But normally with easy driving, easy driving means no constant red line shifts or stop and go traffic, my water & oil temps stay around 180. I never see the 200 degrees in water or oil temps. You will have to take the car in. |

Mitch, I was in my car yesterday with the exact same temps. Sacramento was 98 degrees outside and I was stop go for well over 30 minutes. Freeway temps were exact to what you mentioned. Mario |

Van, your temps sound fine to me . The temps. mentioned by Mitch are about what I see in my Boxer of around 90c(h2o), 100c(oil) on the highway and up to 100c(h2o), 125c(oil) in stop and go traffic. |

The only times my F355 gets down to 175dF oil or water is when cruising at 60-80 MPH. By the time I coast down to a stop in a city/town the water is at 190. By the time a 2 minute light goes back green, water is at 210 and oil is creaping up towards 200. On the other hand, driving around a 25 MPH town in 90+dF heat the water stays 220 with the fans circulating on and off, oil goes up to 230-ish. |
