FChat is a community. The rest can be considered semi-private chat rooms with conversations between the same 10 people.

Rob:

IMHO your site is head and shoulders above the rest, for what it's worth. Thanks again for your hard work.

Mark

I do mean 100% that #1 JRV is very technically knowledgeable and #2 that it's nice to get free information.

We'll save the rest for Paul Harvey.

Rob,
I take mild offense at your statement "Nothing like free advice in this profit driven world...LOL" as I feel you're tone is somewhat sarcastic...as clearly you're not happy with the mere presence of the "other" site.

I don't look at "your" board or JRVs board, as source for free advice, but rather a community where fellow enthusists can openly share information. Although I too owned a repair shop for 15+ years, and currently make my living consulting for the automotive industry...I will gladly share information with other Ferrari owners, without profit or compensation being expected.

I expect my career to be my source of income...Whatever I have contributed to either board has come back to me many times over...though not a single dime has changed hands.

In this "profit driven world", my compensation has been immeasureable!

Frank, it's true that Bill is a great source for technical information. He's also a contributing member of another forum: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/cgi-bin/discus/board-profile.cgi?action=view_profile&profile=billb-users

www.ferrariclubofamerica.com AND www.owners.ferrari.com Not sure, but think that you need to actually own a Ferrari for these. But. They have some GREAT info. and a fantastic Technical adviser on the FCA site (Bill Badurski) If you want to get a real answer for any technical questions,Bill is THE guy! (THE man in the Know, for the man that Don't know!)

Seems like that FerrariTalk site is the new place to hang out...Great bunch of folks and the moderator really knows his stuff. IMO, a "must have" technical resource.

Well, I've visited all the others and while I do enjoy following Tom Yang, I've pretty much restricted myself to this forum. I think it's the best forum out there, Ferrari related or not.

Oh yea, forgot about Tom Yangs. That's actually my favorite of the lot, not really the message board, but all the documentation on his restoration.

tomyang.net is an excellent 250/330/365/400 restoration resource/F-forum.

There's even a 500 Mondial Series II which was picked up in '60 for $2,000!

More specialized, but TomYang.net is another good one for older cars.

Cheers
