Lapeter, I am not talking about flipping it right out of the gate, I am talking 1 or 2 years down the road. I guess my comment was more tongue in cheek, i.e. you can't fathom paying over retail, but can you also not fathom selling it over retail to the next buyer down the road? |

Whimike, I am not buying a new spider at MSRP to resell for a profit over MSRP. I am buying it to keep for a long time. That is why I won't pay over MSRP. I understand if you are going to flip the car, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Just a different opinion. Al |

"I couldn't see paying over MSRP for anything." Just on the flip side, when you go to sell do you plan on selling for MSRP or less to a buyer? Or, do you see yourself selling for market value, should it happen to be over MSRP? I.E. Do you want to have your cake and eat it too? |

Sheesh, Rob... next time you and I are at an event, I'll be sure to take you for a ride... and I religiously hit redline when taking someone for a *ride*! Oh, and I'll even let you drive [as long as you promise not to drive it like I do] |

Jeff- You are probably right about "sour grapes". It's amazing having to wait 3-4 years to buy a spider. |

Jeff, I'm still waiting and on the list with Harris. I'm sure I will love the 360 spider (when I get it), but I really love the 355 spider and it makes the WAIT a lot easier. I couldn't see paying over MSRP for anything. |

About three weeks ago I had my first ride in a 360 spider (6 speed). I'm still smiling. |

-------------------------------------------------- quote: BTW- the 360 was not $100,000 better than my 355 spider. -------------------------------------------------- Al I sense a little "sour grapes" in your comment. If I remember correctly, you were dying to get a 360 spider. And you "settled" for a 355 when Steve Harris told you it would be a 3 year wait for the 360 spider. Have I confused you with someone else?

My friend has just taken delivery of his '03 360 with F1 tran. It was an incredible ride. After a quick lesson with the paddles I could really feel the difference in the HP between my 94 348 and the 360, however the seat bolsters seemed a little more snug than in my car, kind of like the snug fit of a 308. Interesting too was driving with special order sunroof. I cant really recall if their was really any wind blowing through my hair or not, I was totally hypnotized by the sound of the engine. It was also not easy to get used to the multiple blind spots. Its so much easier with a spider. If I had the resources I would absolutely have one. Riv |

Had a 97 355 and 99 360.Subjective aspects aside, the 360 is roomier and faster. The only aspect of the 355 that was better than the 360 was the stock exhaust sound. |

Thanks, by the way, for the compliment on my collection... Some very dear additions to it have come directly from fellow chatters here (333SP, 360 Challenge, F40, etc.)... |

Adam, LMAO...!!! Paul, you actually gave me your number once and i never had a chance to call you; then i lost my cell phone (and thus, your number)... i recall you mentioning you used to live up here on the Island and that's how your number came about... If i'm ever in Florida, i'll certainly let you know... However, should you ever find yourself back on the island up here, make sure to let me know, as well... We can go have a drink at Cafe Testarossa... |

i've driven a 355 (i still have trouble breathing when i say that) and i'd love to drive a 360 to see the differences... The 355 was more fun than a gerbel in the shower, at night, with black light faucet knobs and chocolate-scented candles and very slippery soap so i'm eager to know a 360 beyond just drooling over one... |

I'm partial to my 360. I have driven a few 355's and there is NO comparison. They both drive differently. Just my 2 cents. |

LMAO...! The salesman trying to sell you the 360 F1 couldn't work the transmission...? Um... does anyone see anything wrong with that...? That's like letting a valet park a manual transmissioned-car when they only know how to operate automatics... |

In March this year I rode in a 360 F1 Spider. I had just picked up my 355 spider. The salesman couldn't figure out the F1 and stalled it. It was beautiful, but I like the stick for my needs. BTW- the 360 was not $100,000 better than my 355 spider. |

Amazingly, I have never had a ride in a 360 before. I just got a short trip in a 360 F1 Spider. Not really a chance to get on it, but I loved the sound of the stock exhaust. A really cool resonance at low to mid RPM. |
