Some gorgeous bedroom slippers there... real beauties. No doubt you could be the hit of the party with those babies. Like the red rubber ones, not for me thx.

Jim,
I have the black and gray "bowling shoes" Monaco's. They look pretty good, I guess a little like bowling shoes, but also like sneakers. I'm actually already planning a second pair when these wear out...or I get a "shopping mode" but I think I'll give the DTM's (in black with red) a try next. They seem even more like normal shoes.

Which Piloti's do you guys have? I was considering a pair of the Monaco's but my wife says they look like bowling shoes.

I have the Piloti's as well and agree with Scott. Looks "normal" enough to wear around on the street and great to drive in.

I have a set a Piloti's. Did a two day track school--walked the tracked, incredibly comfy, easy to heal and toe, priced right, can wear them on the street and not look dorky--I highly recommend them.

I love my Sparco racing shoes, very comfortable. But that's it exactly. Not only do they provide little support, they would get destroyed very quickly if I wore them regularly

OK, time for a moment of clarity...

Now, I'm the first to spend money on quality. While in NY last weekend, John Karr and I went to the Todd store to look at driving shoes. Now the deal was basically, $250 without Cavallino, $350 with a Cavallino that was so small you wouldn't even notice.

I've never had a pair of "driving" shoes before, but let me give you my first impression. They are moccasins. They are house slippers. You cannot walk in them (at least not on normal roads or sidewalks). They hurt your feet because they have no support. Other that that, they are great (OK, they're not really great. But hey, I just spent almost $300 on a pair of moccasins, give me a break).

Think I'll just stick with my plain white tennis shoes.

Any of you guys ever try a pair of Pilotis? Wondering how they are, and how they look in person.

I used to wear Asahi for years until their quality went down and they went out of business {DUH}. At one time they were like the "Michelin" of tennis shoes. I have been using Rebok but now have a pair of WHITE Filas in the stable along with the Fila Clown Shoes. There is a Fila outlet in my town and you can buy discontinued styles for next to nothing. I paid $18.00 for the white ones.

I have my $55 Adidas Superstars, I have like half a dozen pairs now from new to barely still one piece as I have gotten to that point where I know longer out grow, but rather wear out shoes. They're the best normal sneakers for driving I've found (narrow and little cushioning, etc to prevent pedal feedback), although I don't know if the more mature guys are still into wearing white sneakers.

I have a pair I bought in London over the holidays. I purchased them at Harrod's for something over $300.00. They are an excellent driving shoe. I do not drive any of my Ferrari's without a proper pair of driving shoes. Can't heel and toe with boots on, (unless you are a Texan)! Chris

They are better than the Ferrari rainboots/tennis shoes. A much better looking shoe, but still not my style.

Actually Todds makes a good shoe and they are very comfortable, but they are not cheap.

They look nice. But, the sizes are too small for a "full size" man !

Very nice.
Normal price for best quality shoes.
BOSS shoes are same level of price.
I just do not buy them because I have to try shoes before buying.
