Mirrors on a 328

Filling the extra hole probably isnt a big deal but repainting the door would be. If you want to install the Euro type mirrors to the US Spec 308/328, you would need a body work to fill one mounting hole on each side. I almost bought the pair for $500. I said "almost".... I have a euro 328 with the smaller mirrors. From past threads, I think people said the base mounting was different, but I don't recall if you can install the euro mirrors over the US mounting holes. Why would Ferrari put such ugly mirrors on the US model 328's. The mirrors on my Euro 308 looks a hundred times better. Does anyone know if the mirrors are interchangeable.
