Erik,
That's great! Your dad is a great guy, and I'm not just saying that because he let me take the car out for a drive also. I should be up in the area soon. We'll have to go for another ride! :-)

Thanks! You happen to snap any shots while I was at the helm?

I think my dad regrets letting me drive it though because I just asked him if I could take it out tonight :-) He didn't look to thrilled to hear that question. But, in all honesty after driving a ferrari I would never drive one without the owner. I don't mind borrowing my dads cl, but I would mind borrowing this. If something goes wrong I will never hear the end of it. Also that emergency brake was harder to master then driving the car.

Erik....at least you were lucky to drive a 355 for your initial experience.....my first seat time as a Ferrari driver was in a 12 year old 1982 308, it's performance almost turned me off the marque for good, if it wasn't for it's stunning good looks that still hold my eye to this day.

Luckily for me the next drive was an 1988 Testarossa !!

Congrats!

Drove my first F-car yesterday as well, a 360 spider. Completely awesome! There's nothing like it. Nothing looks like it, sounds like it, or feels like it. Absolutley amazing. Agreed, my only minor complaint is that the pedals seemed so close together and my shoe kept clipping the dead pedal. Regardless of the pedals, I'm still smiling from ear-to-ear.

Hey guys,Today my dad finally let me drive the 355. It was awesome. I think he would have let me drive it sooner if I asked. We pulled into a park about 2 miles away from my house and my dad just opened the door and said here you drive. Now, I am now pretty decent at driving stick so I wasn't afraid to drive it or anything. But, the car is awesome. There is just something to be said about hearing the engine behind you and being in control of it. I didn't think the car was really that hard to drive and my dad let me drive it for about 20 min cruising around some local roads. I didn't really push it, but boy is that an awesome car. It wasn't hard to shift and the clutch was easy to engage. I always hear people say how hard an exposed gate is or that ferrari clutches are heavy. All I did was take my time when shifting. I did have one complaint though and that is the pedal offset. I wear a size 12 and was wearing basketball shoes when I drove and there was only like 1cm between the end of my shoe and the brake. I don't know how people can have a garage queen it is just so hard to imagine people not driving these cars. It was cool to be in a car where you were always thinking. Whether it be making sure your feet are about to hit the right pedal, making the shift, or making sure the nose doesn't scrap. I did well with all those except the last one. I kindof let it hit hard when I was pulling into my neighborhood. F-cars rock.
Erik
