We also have the Blue ridge Parkway, a nice scenic through the mountains drive. Then there's Virginia International Raceway and several other fine "track" facilities. We have lots to offer besides the traffic of DC!

You could run a two day event. Leave Virginia Beach and go west towards VIR for a track day.

Start at VIR then go west through the blue ridge mountains. Lots of possibilities.

Send an email to Maria Homann at FNA mhomann<at>ferrariusa.com and she will send you info on next year's event when it is ready. We had 51 cars this year...pics are up here somewhere.

For reasons that are not completely clear

uh, maybe it's 'cuz outside of CA, some outrageous percentage of all US f-cars are east of the mississippi :-)

i'd definitely dig this if it was gonna be huge. i can see 70+ f-cars at the annual tutto italiano show here in boston (assuming it doesn't rain like it did this year).

VA is nice and central from boston (canada starts just north of lowell, right? sorry roch-man) down to miami.

If you are at TWS this weekend, you can see how fast it can go.

I think the hill country is an excellent idea.

I just got permission to post this, so here goes:

FNA plans on doing a SoCal to Monterey rally from 8/8/2004 to 8/11/2004.

In a major injustice, FNA is considering a second rally in another state other than Texas.

For reasons that are not completely clear, FNA is thinking about doing the second rally on the East coast during October 2004 in Virginia.

(Virginia! Where is that? Is that one of those dinky states about DC?)

Because they need at least 70 cars to make a rally work, FNA wants to know your thoughts on both rallies. So feel free to post your thoughts about attending either rally here on FC. They'll get seen.

Personally, I'd rather know your thoughts on a rally through the hill country of Texas and out to the chili cookoff in Terlingua. Virginia, my hinnie. All they gots dere in traffic jams... If we go out to West Texas we could probably rent the tire testing track and find out how fast our F-Cars can really go!
