Rik, great shame as It looks like a nice car, Bus drivers do have a tendancy to drive all over the road, wonder if they should use smaller buses for tight roads? The current UK value's seem to vary from 20-30kish, Do you still have access to the car, if so ask a specialist to give you a pre crash value. if they wont give you a sensible amount try to buy back the remains and part it out (should help with the shortfall) remembering that the car belongs to you until the cheque is in your hands, as it seems like it wasnt your fault have you obtained a same value hire car? having already been through this with a 911 feel free to PM me

Sorry...put this on the wrong board earlier this evening. Earlier this year I had a bit of a run with a bus and my '78 308 GTS, due to the bus drivers enthusiasm with a 90 degree blind bend. The car was in A1 condition throughout, getting on towards concours standard in places with a fantastically reliable engine. I was, to put it mildly, quite upset. I was wondering what anyone reading this would think was a fair price for a 308 in this condition in the UK, as the insurance company and I have slightly differing views on this. I also attatch a photo taken after the event for sympathy! |
