the balck daytona "wagon" was a car that was here locally during the eighties. the car, although fast was not very sound. according to the owner, the "wings" would flap at spees due to the latches not being securable. he said that when you accerated, the "wings" would begin to lift and fall as the wind buffered into the cockpit.

although an interesting history, one that wasn't too flattering to the marque.

Outside of the oddly shaped covers over the standard Lambo headlights I have to agree with you Wayne.

Even though I don't find either of the two Ferraris mentioned here to be attractive, there is one sports/GT-wagon conversion that I think came out nicely. The Touring-bodied Flying Star based on Lamborghini 400GT s/n 0904:

For some interesting background info on these cars, here's an article by fellow F-chatter Helmut Schnug (who's also responsible for the photos at the bottom of this thread):

I'd go down to my local fire dept., get the Jaws-of-Life, and start trimming...

Thank god these are only one-offs. Sportcars dont look good as station wagons and vice versa, with the RS4 as an exception.

The first is the 330 GT Vignale Waggon or Shooting Brake S/N 7963 owned by Mr.Paturau of France. The second is the 365 GTB4 Shooting Brake by Panther S/N 15275.
