I'll exactly echo Byron's comment. I bought my 328 sight unseen from Benn @ Shelton as well. Very professional and car was just as described and unbelievably clean. I would recommend Shelton again in a heartbeat.

Hi Wayne:

Car should be there. I set it up on Friday as I knew this deal was rolling through. (It cost me 2 passes to the Barrett-Jackson auction in West Palm Beach). As you know I have not personally seen the car but I have never heard a 348ts recieve more positive reaction then this car. Fortunetly the seller is an honorable man as Shelton told him they will buy it if I fell through (not a chance).
I'm counting you in for 2 free passes to Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale as a birddog WHEN you sell this Maranello for me.

Hey Tom if you have that car there early Monday Gerrard at Shelton will get the clucth slave R&R
so Reliable can pick it up Tuesday. You and Carol worked hard to please me and I know I can be
a pain without much effort. If it is all that
everyone claims, I'll give credit where credit is due. Stop wasting your time(chatting) and sell the yellow 550 you keep bragging about!!!

I have bought 2 F-cars from Shelton and think they are terrific. Also, Bud Root could sell ice to an eskimo in February. I actually ship my spider down to winter in Florida and have them maintain it and store it. They are the only ones to give me their home and cell numbers over the weekend in case I have a problem (I go down every 3-4 weeks during the winter to visit my parents and my car). Highly recomended.

Hey Wayne:
Had to ad my 2 cents regarding Shelton and the PPI they performed for you. I have sold many Ferraris to West Coast residents. About a third of our buyers choose to have a PPI completed. We normally have them done at Algar of Philadelphia. As a dealer I can tell you our biggest fear of having a PPI done is not the actual inspection. We normally know what we are selling. Our fear is putting our Ferrari client in front of one of our competitors.
I have always found Algar (and now add Shelton to that list) to always treat my clients and my company in a very professional manner. The Ferrari market is very small. I have delt with many Ferrari dealership service departmants across the country trying to re-assemble service historys on cars we buy. Other manufacturers dealerships have always made us feel like the enemy. I think Ferrari figured out that if they act in a profesional manner to all involved, they can easily build thier client base. Its a lot easier to keep the client in front of you then it is to find a client.
Enjoy the 348ts Wayne. You will flip (a happy flip) when you see it. I expect to see picture on FerrariChat by next weekend.

Tom

I can not say enough good things about Shelton and their service mgr Gerod McShane! See my comments on the "550 Service, Recall" post.

Top notch..professional..and always done correctly the first time.

Although I bought my car from F or SFO they still treat me as though I purchased it from them and I always will have it serviced there.

After searching the country & internet, I finally bought my car from Shelton. It was a delightful experience & the car is beautiful. Benn sent me all the paperwork & pictures of every part. It was just as represented.
Part of the reason I was comfortable getting it "sight unseen" was the confidence Benn's professionalism inspired.
As you said, just a great pleasure! I just wish it weren't in the opposite corner of the country, so I could drop in for a chat easier.

Martin
I thought I had my answer when I saw you list the car on the Ad board...Anyhow the car I bought is not a "keeper" but a filler(until the 360 CS arrives) although it apparently is very nice.
Dealer from outside Philly I believe. Car was in Lauderdale.

Seems like there are 2 markets out there...
The authorized Ferrari dealer market and
ROW market??? I tried to buy a used Ferrari from the dealer I hace the CS ordered from..the prices 10-20k more than what's out there.

shelton did a 355 PPI for me back when. i also have nothing but nice things to say about them. i didn't buy the car (thank you shelton!).

on the sales side though, i've inquired on some of their cars over the years and was rather put off by the high prices.

doody.

Where is Carstore Glenside?
Never heard of them...

Wayne,
Still researching the financiability issue. not possible to lease but can not get a straight answer on the financing.
I realize though that it may very well be too late when I get it. Hope you like what you are buying :-)

I guess I'm getting accustomed to dealing with flakes and non-professional types...Anyhow
Gerrard at Shelton Ferrari just completed a PPI
on a car I'm buying from Carstore Glenside.
VERY PROFESSIONL VERY HELPFUL and just generally a pleasure to do business and spend with!
