$125 is a fair price for those.

Hmmm, I've had these for a few years now, I bought them for the 2000 Concorso Italiano, just over 2 years ago my old 348 was totaled.

I just don't recall what they cost (sorry IF I mis-quoted). I'm certainly not trying to get rich on these and it's probably not even worth the effort to package & ship for $65 bucks. I just thought I'd offer them up as it appears like some folks here are looking for logo mats, I have no need for them any longer. So to avoid any negative thoughts on this matter I'll just leave them in the old Ferrari parts box & say good hunting for those interested in having mats.

Hey Lawrence I had almost the same mats like the ones you have pictured and bought mine from RX Textiles for $65 and what a bargain it was then and it's too bad they can't make those anymore due to the logo. Heck just buy a computer controlled sewing machine and do all the stitch work logos for yourself.

Hi all,

This probably should be in the ads but since it fits here, I have a almost new pair of mats for 348's, nice quality but not Keith Collins level but still nice, Black with only a embroidered red ponies.

If I recall I paid about $125 or so, If interested please e-mail with an offer+you pay shipping.

Riv,

i took a shot in the dark and said the second to darkest. So if it is:

LIGHT 1 2 3 4 DARK

i purchased #3. The are under $200 a set so if they don't work out i will not feel so bad. Give it three weeks and e-mail me and i'll let you know which ones to get as mine will have arrived by then.

Enjoy the Drive,

Steven R. Rochlin

PS: Dr IM, the prancing horse is nice, simply prefer the shield with horse here.

PPS: have received MANY e-mails about my photo with Gate Lock and surprised NO ONE noticed i changed the color surrounding the cigar lighter. That stock green just HAD to go! Also have the Map Bulb orange now too (the one under the emergency brake).

Dave,

Just called them and ordered a set. They have FOUR different tan/camel colors. Do you know which one is correct for 1985 308GTS QV cliche' red/tan car?? ALL help is ALWAYS appreciated.

Marc,

You make a VERY good point!!! We all need to be aware that floor mats MIGHT move out of place and therefore push the throttle forward. NOT A GOOD SITUATION!!!

Personally, use OMP aluminum pedals (not stock) and as i preferred the accelerator pedal a bit higher the pedal was mounted accordingly. Now the bottom part of the pedal has plenty of room to avoid the dreaded carpet push-up. OMP pedals are the same they use in Ferrari Challenge cars too :-)

HATE the 308 stock plastic-faced pedals. YUK!!!

Enjoy the Drive,

I will post pics later, but I have really nice black full size carpet mats (with a large red horsey on!) in my '89 328GTS.

One thing to be very careful of - especially if you are a shortarse like me and need the seat pushed forward - I was driving the car home on it's first drive with me as owner, and almost crashed as the accelerator was being forced down by the mat..thought it was a fault at first and just revving very high, until we discovered the problem..

I had to take it our initially until I got some double sided tape to secure it in place.

Perfect now and they do look very cool.

So tape it up and enjoy them!

That is the Gate Lock from Italian Car Parts at http://www.italiancarparts.com . This is a great device for keeping the basic low lifes out, yet there are other anti-theft measures i choose to not discuss.

Jerry- I would reccommend that you get some "carpet mask" plastic and trim it carefully to cover the emblem on these mats when you get them. They are obviously light in color and will show dirt quickly.
Just what I would do if I bought new mats for my 355 now.

Also, give Larry Emmons at www.emmonscoachworks.com a try. He is still selling Ferrari logo items.

And Frank, usually only 'pros' will steal a Ferrari, or other exotic.

Also, 3x8s are not high on the list of cars wanted on the black market.

Save yourself a lot of worry and money, don't be so over protective.

Gotta go now, and check my security systems. I've heard that my 79' Chevy Caprice, that sits outside, has become a hot item!

Steven,
I have the exact same mats for my 328! You can get them from Berkshire Foreign Auto Parts, Inc. in Pittsfield, MA. 413.499.1130 They cost $145.50, plus $9 shipping, and hey, they charged me tax! Should have asked for a refund, dammit! :-) This price is what I paid a year ago.

BTW, Berkshire does not make the mats, they order them from another vendor. Not sure how that company gets around the trademark issues, but more power to them...

Steven.I noticed that shifter lock. Could you tell me about them and where to purchase? Never saw one of those before. I have 2 alarms and a hidden kill switch,(which is the cheapest deterrent, yet, probably the most effective) But,having a visual theft deterrent like that would probably prevent a would be car thief from digging out the ignition and making a mess out of the wiring, and dash. Thanks!

Steven those mats with the shield are fantastic! Do you have a link to more info. Do you happen to know if they make them for other models - e.g. 550. And kudos to your for driving your car 1000 per month - thats what it is all about. Your engine in your profile looks nice - where are the car pics?

Steven,
I bought a pair of black ones with shield for $135 thru a western MA parts supplier that alfaguy put me in touch with. Look identical to yours except for background color.

Keep them in a plastic bag under my bed for 'special' occasions such as your Oktobefest.

Now, who/what is 'Sheltons'? Never heard of them..

Jerry,

Alas, i have no photo, though kindly give me a few minutes and i'll take one. Be right back :-)

(a few minutes pass)

Below is an overview. Sorry the mats are dirty, drive her about 1k miles a month [and i work at home(!)]. Would rather be driving than vacuuming :-)

Upload

Here is a closeup of just the emblem. Looks better in person and when new.

Upload

Guess it is time to throw her in the washing machine huh? The backing is black grippy plastic stuff, but NOT good enough to keep her from sliding in my car so some Velcro or the like would be suggested.

Hope this helps. Love the look and feel of these mats. For me, the emblem is best over just a Prancing Horse or the 308 logo :-)

Enjoy the Drive,

Steven R. Rochlin

PS: planning to redo the entire interior as a Hanukkah present so will get a few extra yards of carpet to have two pairs of custom floor mats made (emblem) so they match perfectly. The above mats will be for the winter and mud season.

Keith Collins mats are top of the line but very expensive. The reason is they have licensing rights from Ferrari to make the mat using the prancing horse.

Here is the company that I told you about. I got a set of very nice mats for my '81 308 about 3 years ago. Their prices may have risen a bit since then, but they should be a lot cheaper.

I have a pair that I bought at Shelton for $100 last year. They were laying on the shelve and it was a kind of 'make me an offer' deal. Check your nearest dealership. Maybe they have a set that someone never picked up after ordering. Couldn't hurt.

Jerry,
I will send you the info from a catalog I have at home tonight. The company caters mostly to Fiat and Alfa Romeo parts, but they do carry mats for Ferraris. They offer the mats with either the name logo (approx. $120. per set)or the horse logo(approx. $140. per set). I got mine from them and they are very nice.

$500 or so.

Check the archives, there have been a few threads in the past...bottom line, it is difficult for mat producers to use Ferrari logos and not be infringing on their trademarks. Most with the horse will NOT look exactly like the Ferrari horse, they will make subtle changes to the horse's proportions.

Thanks!
