I bought my 348 Spider at Motorsports of Scottsdale, but the car had been serviced by Jim at Scottsdale Ferrari. He knew the car the minute I told him the VIN and was quite helpful in filling me in on any information I didn't already know about the car. I am sure he would provide a solid PPI and "personal opinion."

Thanks guys for the advice. Well, a previous offer came through, and I will be buying another car on the East Coast. Thanks again, I would not have bought it before the PPI, that is for sure.

Do not "close" the deal before the PPI.... Do as Doody said and get the PPI at Scottsdale Ferrari. Ask for Jim, he is the service manager.

coachi - whoever they are, they simply can't be that far from Scottsdale Ferrari. have them take it there for a PPI. they should be more than happy to do this for you to make the sale. if they're not, that may be data.

I would strongly advise having an independent do the PPI-someone who doesn't have a vested interest in making the deal. Or, are they willing to warrant the car for an additional time after you buy it?

Well, it seems that I have made progress with this group known as automotive group. They have a yellow 2001 maranello that I want...and they have agreed to let someone in Scottsdale "a trusted associate " as they call him...come look at the car for me. I need to make sure they have what they say they have and the car is what they say it is. They will provide a PPI once I have closed the deal. Anyone willing to do this big favor for me? Please contact me via direct email through FerrariChat... I will be deeply grateful.
