Here's a low resolution extraction of the nuts and bolts. You can email me for additional info. Ialso have the complete repair manual on DVD if you get ambitious!

check the archives out. assuming you're not going to do the work yourself; you're going to have it done by good people; and you're going to put < 6K miles per year on it - it roughly breaks out as such: figure $1K per year for annual maintenance, oil changes, and whatnot. figure $5K every five years for a major (30K) service. so that works to $2000 per year, on average. and remember that if something big decides to go (you blow the clutch; you blow your timing belt; you royally screw your brakes; whatever) all bets are off. at one point i had a PDF of the service section of the 550 manual that i emailed to a bunch of guys. i no longer seem to have it, and it was a pain to extract from the overall manual, so maybe one of those guys (whoever you are!) would be so kind as to forward it along to you. there's basically the 15K and the 30K. the 15K is pretty minimal stuff that you'd generally check over on an annual service anyway. the 30K is the ball buster . doody. |

Is there a listing of the suggested regular maintenance and the corresponding cost for a 550, listed somewhere? Am considering a 550 and really need to know all the ownership costs. Tnx |
