Any more owners want to enter?

Tons of you are downloading but nobody is rating, please rate your choice! I won't be able to announce a winner if there's only been 2 votes :P

As a matter of fact there was some air coming from the right side just after the cannister. Bad gasket? The guys couldn't break the bolts loose and since they didn't have the fix decided to leave it along. Any thoughts? thanks Am I damaging anything?

Doc, that great backfire is usually a sign of an exhaust leak... Sure you got it all tight when you put it back together?

Gents: Exhaust note is my favorite amenity. Most recent change to my '01 360 modena is a set of Tubi test pipes (replaces factory cats) and Tubi muffler. Sound is awesome. Takes a little doing just to keep it quiet on the streets. Screams at higher revs. Has a great back fire when up shifting at 4000 rpm. Rewired aft oxygen sensors with 47,000 Ohm resistors (one per side) on the black return wire 8" from the first connector. No warning lights so far. Did get a warning light with a 15,000 Ohm resistor. Requires getting behind the splash sheild on both sides of the engine bay. Pipes are $440.00 from Heiko (F chat sponsor). Use crimpers, don't try to solder. 47,000 Ohm resistors at Radio Shack for $2.00. Had a blast doing it. Heiko uses PayPal. Good luck. Doc

Thanks to Rob Kodey!

Rico, this sounds like a really cool contest... Your next one should be audio clips only and have people guess the car... Make entrants stock only so no one will get confused or thrown off... i don't know about other cars, but i could definitely pick out an Enzo... Maybe even a 355... If the clip were just silent air, i would know it's a 550... :-) Other than that, i wouldn't be able to guess the rest... In any case, let us know who wins your contest...!

Mike,
Off course you would beat the 550 w/ Tubi which didn't rev up so high...

Mike: 550 w/ fuchs/CG has got to rank high. Higher than tubi 550, anyways.

I don't know about where my fuchs would rank - however, I think my brake squeak would beat any custom exhaust in decibles.

I get more comments and stares relating to my brakes than my exhaust.

Anyone want to challenge me?

Great! Anyways, can you do some revving while the exhaust pipes are captured? That will be able to put in the contest. Maybe I can add the dyno pull as a bonus though. Great to have a F40 added to the list!

Unfortunately it has to be one type of videos to make the cars comparable, I chose for revving up in neutral because that doesn't take much time. If I asked to drive away from the camera, you would need 2 persons and more time for making a video...so there would be less entries.

I would love to see the video though... any chance of hosting it somewhere? My room is full at the moment, looking for some more.

That would be really cool, if I read about a next meet I will post a reminder for you.

all our footage will be on the move. we'll have to wait for our next meet up to video them standing still. pity, as i'm sure we got some great action shots.

Off course Tony, remember the videos need to be revving up in neutral, so standing still. And shot with a view of the exhaust pipes. Can't wait for your entry!

The videos are at a FTP server right now, only the manager hasn't made the server accessible for all visitors, I hope he fixes it soon!

Will, the winner gets the comfort of knowing that they dry reved their car for no reason other then the muscle car 'too sound mean' one. :-)

I say while driving, 3rd to red and 4th to red. Thats when u can really hear it anyway.

Tape? Do you mean digital video in MPEG format?

Would be really cool to see a 360 with Tubi show up yes, there's already a great entry of a 360 with stock exhaust. Email me at [email protected], when the video is ready I will give you the information to host it on.

The contest should start in about half an hour with the first 7 entries! It's located here: www.ferrari-f355.tk. Enjoy!

There's been a little change in my plans about the Ferrari F355 exhaust challenge. I'm getting so many entry's of other Ferrari's that I decided to make the contest available for all types of F-cars. The contest is being held at my site www.ferrari-f355.tk. I'm sorry if my site is temporarly offline, having problems with my free server.

So calling all F-car owners here:
If you can, please make a video clip with a digital camera of your Ferraris exhaust pipes while revving up the engine in neutral. If the video is finished you can send it to me and it will join into the contest. Then the visitors of my site will be able to view and rate the sound of each car.

I am still figuring out how to set up an FTP server with Serv-U if you have a router at home... I need one to host the videos on.

It does not matter what exhaust system you have, It will sound good if you want to win :-D

The current cars which are entering are:

308
328
348
348 (Tubi)
F355
F355 F1
F355 (Fuchs)
F355 (Tubi Challenge)
360 Modena
360 Spider black
360 Spider silver
550 Maranello (Tubi)
550 Maranello (Tubi)
456GT (Tubi)
Testarossa (Koenig)
246 Dino
Enzo (not really revving)
250 GT
275

I hope some of you will battle for the victory!

Greetings,
Rico
