For those that have asked, these mufflers sound incredible and have a hi pitched scream above 5000 rpm. i have had a lot of good feedback from fellow ferrari owners at the track who love the sound and are curious as to whats going on back there................john

i dumped my tubi for a set of custom magnaflow mufflers ( a true dual exhaust), there was a noticeable gain in power, especially since i had to rejet to a richer mixture (better exhaust scavenging for sure). i cannot post the picture as the size is too big. email me for a pic.

The only noticeable difference is the sound. But, what a sound!! Definitely saves money on the radio replacement.

Ken, does replacing the muffler effect your originality at shows?

Ken-

The only noticeable difference you'll get with a Tubi, is the sound.

Are you willing to pay the price, whether you purchase new or used?

An upgrade in performance will be negligible to you.

I had luck at Ted Rutlands. I would also try perusing the ads in Ferrari Market Letter and Ferrariads.com -they are all great resources.

I'd like to buy a used Tubi for my 328 too but as the other thread indicates -- you never go back. So.... used ones are nearly impossible to find.

You can cut the price amost in half by buying a Stebro instead. Not as "pretty" since the stainless steel isn't highly polished except for the tips, but on US version 308's, including your QV, it doesn't show anyway.

They're at www.stebro.net

Call me cheap, but I refuse to pay almost $2K for a muffler regardless how good it sounds. If anyone knows of a good used Tubi for a '85 308QV
(one cat version), please email me at [email protected]

Thanks.
Ken
