Humm... I don't know about the outfit. I heard Algar let's you drive off with an F50 if you wear a suit!
I look pretty scruffy on the week ends when I visit car dealers and to my surprise they seem pretty use to it.

JM, now where in the hell would you ever get that idea? hmm.....

Seriously, JM, my attitude comes from the way I was treated when I first walked in there, t-shirt, torn jeans, pony tail and they actually took me seriously.

Will-
Was that Ferrari of Washington that you were referring to? That absolutely wondrous dealership?

Oh, did I mention that Ferrari of Washington is the best Ferrari dealer around? Did I forget to mention that Ferrari of Washington service dept. is absolutely wonderful? Did I tell you that Ferrari of Washington just moved into a beautful new wonderfully designed building? Did I tell you....

"I don't have any affiliation with FoW at all,"

Surprised to hear that, Marq, you need to get with the program. Check the site again, turns out if we can keep this thread going for another 10 days, and mention FoW favorably 10 more times each, we can get "Go to the Head of the List" coupons worth 20% off MSRP on a 360 spider. Did I mention FoW (second time)?

PS - I was just out at FoW (that's three times) this morning, quite a collection of cars as they get ready for this weekend's track event.

JM-
Thanks for the response. I don't have any affiliation with FoW at all, it's just that they are my local dealer and, of course, I'd hate to hear anything disparaging with regard to their business practices as I've always found them to be on the 'up and up'(in my limited experience).

In addition, as Will575 stated, they are really a bunch of nice guys, true enthusiasts and hard core race guys.

If you do call again, ask for Ralph Cestero as Bryan suggested. He's the Sales Mgr. and will surely treat you respectfully.

Glad to hear you're a "give 'em a second chance" type of person. You certainly won't regret it if you have future dealings with them.

Well I can't find it either.

The basics were I called about a 308 on e-bay. The guy was basically a jerk, would not take the car out for a PPI b/c "It never works out unless the seller slips money under the table!" I'm like, WTF are you talking about! He also would not allow a mechanic to come by and look at the car b/c most of them are idiots and he throws them out.

Also, a Ron V volunteered to go by and look at it for me (thanks again Ron) since he would be in St.Louis last weekend and when I called to tell the salesmen he said "normally I don't allow that b/c it puts to much pressure on the 'friend' to find any little thing wrong with the car"...ugg, you've got to be kidding. Ron had already gone buy and he only let him in b/c he was so nice. Oh, and he would not meet me on a Saturday unless I had a check in hand ready to buy the car....

It's been on two 7-day e-bay auctions starting at $23k and a buy-it-now of $27,999. NO bids in either auction. 62K-1-owner car.

Basically, he's waiting for a less educated buyer to come a long and just buy this red Ferrari.

Their 'jimmy' bar did the trick. I felt bad that the FoW mechanic had to dirty his hands on my barely-alive '86 Honda - I hope he washed his hands before he went back to work!

I sold a car through them via an ad I placed on Ebay. They were nothing short of top notch professional....from start to finish. If I were in the market to buy a car, I would not hesitate to contact them.

to chime in w/ Marq and Will; I really believe your experience w/ FoW was a fluke. In my experience, FoW cares deeply about customer service - they helped me break into my car last week when I stupidly locked my keys in it in their parking lot! I think Ralph Cestaro is their sales manager - ask for him.

Marq/Will
Thanks for inquiring on my behalf. I still find it weird that as a salesman he did not know the content of his inventory or recent transactions that took place at FOW. Maybe he was having a bad day. No worries I always give another chance.

Crazy horse, just want to join Marq in trying to reassure you that the FoW guys are not the type to advertise cars that do not exist. I have bought four cars from FoW, with a Stradale on the way - like you, no doubt, I could buy the same cars from a variety of sources, but deal with FoW because I am comfortable doing so.

I know from personal experience that there can be a short delay before the Ferrari NA website catches up with dealership sales.

I hope you'll give FoW another chance, they're a very enthusiast and track event oriented group, including some very hard core racers. Marq and I and other FoW customers all would be happy to recommend a favorite salesman.

JM- Just called FoW and got it straight....Car was sold last week; in the "$120K range". FNA was not notified until today, ergo it showed on their site. Should no longer be listed on the FNA site as of tomorrow. However, the contact I just spoke with says the two 456Ms on the floor now are better cars than the Grey Ingrid was but....
Anyway, hope this was a bit of a help. Sorry you had that experience as, again, I have not found them to be that way at all.

Marq, thanks much appreciate your offer. Find out whatever happened to the 456M Grey ingrid w/ 2600 miles on it. If they have it or sold it and how much. It is still on FUSA web site marketplace.

Sean I would love to check out your thread would you please repost the link . I am not sure how to look it up.Thanks

JM- Really surprised to hear that. No, they're not the type to list cars they don't have on the floor; been dealing with them for a good while and they always get accolades when mentioned here. Jim Coffey (sp?) is, indeed, one of their salesmen...hmmm.
I'm heading over there next week (mid-week) if there is something I can check out for you. Lemme know. I'll be glad to oblige.
Again, really sorry to hear that as I've always had great dealings with them...

Mark,
Granted they have a dozen or more used F cars for sale . The guy I spoke to on the phone named Jim?
did not seem able to even recall the Gray Ingrid one never mind locating it. Could it be that they list cars that don't even exist?

Don't know who you talked to nor where you were looking but their site(FoW) clearly shows no fewer than 16 used Ferraris for sale, among them three 456Ms. (as Kenny says above, might have been someone temporarily answering the phones)

Yeah, that sucks. And it's not like 456's are leaping off showroom floors at all.

I saw a 456M I was interested in on FNA website. First I emailed the dealer F of Washington DC. No reply. Okay, I figured they must get zillions e mails a day so I decided to pick up the phone and call. "Oh I don't see this car on our inventory are you sure ?" Let me have your number and I call you right back !" I am still waiting... Just for the record this dealership as a grand total of maybe 6 used F cars for sale ! It's just a shame that potential customers are treated this way.
